b) the concept that going to a theme park is a hobby that might conflict with anime.

Only if you appreciate how good they all are.

To be fair Miyazaki does make the environmental point in several of his other movies as well.

Yeah, if you haven't watched Mononoke Hime then it's not worth commenting on Miyazaki's "later than Nausicaa" movies.

I watched Vifam a few years ago and thought it was a really fantastic series, Takeyuki Kanda was a truly brilliant director, right up there with Tomino and Takahashi as one of the 80's mecha masters.

yep totally agree,really enjoying the series so far,great stuff indeed and it is another series i can tick off my ever growing back log lol.
