Cardcaptor Sakura eps 50-56
Fun episodes but mostly back into the formula.

World End: What Are You Doing At The End Of The World? Are You Busy? Will You Save Us?
It's a cumbersome title but I did enjoy this show a lot. Action, drama, tragedy and a really interesting premise/world building.

Zombie Land Saga Revenge
Such an amazing show! It's fun, funny but also heartfelt when it needs to be. The cast is fantastic and the music great.

Latest title from my backlog (think it was another title I got from an AL mystery box in years of old)

Ajin: Demi-Human episodes 1 - 26

Some nice CGI and an interesting concept for a fighting series, with the ending leaving it open if more episodes were made. Surely if they wanted to 'kill' one of those Ajin the easiest way would be to knock them out before giving them a pair of concrete shoes and sink them to the bottom of a body of water

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer episode 24 Farewells. (Complete. A decent watch but I wasn’t quite as enthused with it as I had hoped from the initial episodes.) 3/5

My Master Has No Tail
episode 13 Accused. (Complete. A pleasant enough fantasy rankogu series for a Friday evening.) 3/5

Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac
episodes 41-53

Figured I’d watch some Christmas TV specials alongside It’s a Wonderful Life (Film) and Gremlins (Film).

Kanon 1-24
Been a while... Around 4 to 5 years ago i watched it...still one of my very best...but sort of gave me food for thought about the ending.. Is it still ayu's dream? Does the actually wake up? As you never see her wake and was her last wish that she wanted yuichi to be happy... And the way for him to be happy was that everyone was healed?
First time around i thought great she woke up etc... This time there are a few unanswered q's

SPY x FAMILY p2 e13 (complete)
Introduction.
This devolved into a pretty standard comedy with half episode mini stories and thus meandered away from the main plot and thus the best stuff from the first part. So we hardly get to see Anya at school and we hardly see Yor at all! The new character introduced in this part was a little annoying although she was part of probably the best mini story, which actually was longer than half an episode! Some funny moments still though. I guess once the manga became popular the mangaka had to spin out the story a bit longer.
Art and animation were the same.
7/10

The Little Lies We All Tell
ep 11 (complete)
The truth will out.
A fairly amusing show about 4 "girls" each with a secret and the situations those secrets got them into.
The art and animation was a bit uneven, with some bits being better than others.
6/10

Bocchi the Rock
ep 12 (complete)
Rock on!
Absolutely hilarious comedy about a girl with social anxiety who discovers the guitar and then finds herself in a band. The characters in the band are all varied and bounce off each other with their banter and in different ways help Bocchi grow and gradually gain confidence. The support characters are very different and good in different ways too.
The art and animation is excellent with all sorts of styles being used to show Bocchi's state of mind on the outside and then even more showing the things that she is imagining inside her head.
9/10

Blue Lock episode 12 Make up the numbers.

BOCCHI THE ROCK! episode 12 Diving in. (Complete. A memorable music-themed anime that melded its comedy and themes of introversion quite effectively.) 4/5

My Hero Academia Sixth Season
episode 126 Until the end.

Raven of the Inner Palace episode 13 Instigator. (Complete. A solid historical fantasy anime that may have gone overlooked in a busy season.) 3.5/5

Spy x Family Part 2
episode 25 Sleuthing with the second son. (Complete. This second half to the season delivers more of what I found enjoyable with the first. I’m looking forward to seeing what the film and next season bring.) 4/5

Utawarerumono Mask of Truth
episodes 27-28 (Complete. I thought this was a better season than the False Faces, though the original anime is still the best for me.) 3.5/5

Uzaki-Chan Wants To Hang Out! Double
episode 13 A ride home. (Complete. Though Uzaki’s family provided some fun this is a series that feels like it’s spinning its wheels in place in terms of progression with the central duo, making for a sometimes tedious viewing.) 3/5

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-Kun Season 3
episode 12 Just an illusion.

Yowamushi Pedal: Limit Break episode 19 Out with a bang.

Saint Seiya: Knights of the Zodiac episodes 56-63, 66-69

I also continued to watch a variety of Christmas TV specials alongside National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (Film) and Die Hard (Film)

To anyone reading this, Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays!

Bubble (rewatch) - yep, still amazing and the opening theme song still sounds awful :D

The Little Mermaid (Disney, 1989, rewatch) - This is a better film than I remember, though I still think it's outdone significantly by Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, The Lion King and various other Disney films of the "90s animation renaissance." My main points I'd make are:

  • Ariel gets waaaay too much flak, she is a kind caring person even if she did make an ill-advised contract (also Ursula totally played dirty). And the film's message was never "it's a good idea to give your voice up for a man."
  • Triton's arc is interesting as he learns to let his daughter go out into the world and be herself
  • Ursula is bloody terrifying but I'm desensitised now after years of traumatising bad dreams after first seeing the film aged about 9 or 10 so my reaction these days is more like "whoa... cool". She is basically female Cthulhu 😅
  • Beautiful animation and great songs, this was also the only one of these films to be handpainted in the newer, prettier, non-xeroxed style and it is nice to see that though I think the digital colouring methods used in Beauty and the Beast onwards look gorgeous too :)
For anyone who has noticed and is wondering about it yes I am totally gonna rewatch Ponyo as well ;)

Cheers! Is anyone else considering rewatching Elf (other than me and I'm referring to the Will Ferrell film)? My mum hasn't seen it and I thought it might be nice to watch it with her :)
I've watched a few Family Guy Christmas episodes. My Mum likes the rude bits.
And Warriors of the Future, a HK mecha, robot film. Waited 3 years for it.

I'm so proud of myself. I lasted almost a whole five minutes of the English dub of Tokyo Godfathers this year, before reverting to subs.
Merry Christmas to all my fellow otaku.777424.jpg

Beast Tamer Episode 13 House hunting. (Complete. A decent fantasy series with a fresh take on the overpowered protagonist to go along side it's very likeable cast of characters.) 3.5/5

More than a Married Couple, but Not Lovers
Episode 12 Prayer. (Complete. A romance anime that portrays a similar concept to that of Love & Lies without the repercussions.) 3/5

My Hero Academia Season 6
Episode 13 Till the end.

Spy x Family Episode 25 Introductions. (Complete. A solid first season overall and with a second season and film due next year I'll definitely be looking forward to checking both out.) 4/5

The Little Lies We All Tell
Episode 11 Revealing all. (Complete. An interesting concept used here that made for an amusing watch.) 3/5

The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady
Episode 1 This looks like a fun watch.

Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Season 2 Episode 25 Escorted home. (Complete. Though stagnant in terms of story progress and the involvement from the expanded cast. The lack of progression between the main duo made this at times a tedious watch.) 3/5

Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun 3rd Season
Episode 56 Illusions.
