Just like the title says, just state yuor favourite top 10 anime. It doesnt have to be in any order, unless you want of course. Ths thread might help too someone to see some series/movies loved by others since they say its in their top 10 and that are supposed to be good. I'm gonna keep an eye on yours. :p

Well, despite this feature being on each and every members profiles ;) i'll take part in this due to lack of effort to update aforementioned profile.

1. Naruto Shippuden
2. Cowboy Bebop

Ghost in the Shell (both gig's and all three films)

Each show has distinct differences and general atmosphere about it, each give me a different experience so i can't choose any of them higher than the other.

Below are a few shows that i believe alot of people will glaze over and miss out on some old but still good anime:

Kino's Journey
Coyote Ragtime Show
Desert Punk
(one of the major things that bugs me is when people don't even know about this, probably the most famous show of this mini list)
Trigun

Ofcorse there are a truckload of other decent shows that go unoticed, i;d like to see more than i have already, post up some shows AUKN!
 
I don't think films and series' are really analogous for comparison purposes, so I'm only going to list series' here. Might do a film list as well later. In rough order:

For reference my tastes tend towards the thoughtful, or the more cyberpunk infused sci-fi. But a bit of anarchic comedy can't be beat either. Of course, I'm bound to have missed something I love off there and will end up amending it when I realise, but that's the best I can do off the top of my head.

Grave of the Fireflies gets an honourable mention for being so incredibly powerful. I'd probably rate it as the best anime film ever purely for that, but it's the fact that it's so powerful that stops me being able to rewatch it xD

There are a lot of series from the 80's (titles like Galaxy Express, Yamato, Grendizer, Mazinger...) that I haven't rewatched in the last 20 years, so I don't know if they stood the test of time like other series did (Conan and Lupin) or did not (Harlock). I need to rewatch also some series from the second half of the 90's, cause they were really messy years for me and don't remember much. I've rewatched Evangelion and Cowboy Bebop in the last months, but still haven't done so with other classics like Trigun and Patlabor.
