Code Geass Episodes 17 - 25 - Still an excellent finale and I'm glad I rewatched it. Code Geass has more problems then I remembered and the changing world around us probably leaves some of its commentary feeling outmoded. At the same time it feels like a strength as much as a weakness that Lelouch's promises of a revolution that transcends politics ring a lot more empty the older you get. Season 2 will come along later as I am busy with other stuff.


NEEDLESS Episodes 1-2 (Rewatch) - I forget how jarring the end credits were to this series. It's like if someone was given the brief to make a ED for a yuri anime but weren't told none of the girls kissing each other were in the first arc and it was an action series. NEEDLESS has a few strengths in that it feels like a bizarre evolutionally branch of something like Pokemon where everyone is a huge jerk/buffoon and bleeding all over the place. Hard to tell if it's just meant to be a comedy or if its aiming for something more satirical.

I just finished both seasons, the ova and the movie of Kinmoza and I found Alice and Shinobu, Aya and Yoko and wildcard Karen make for an entertaining sol series. This is the second sol series I've watched in the past month, the first being Is The Order A Rabbit. If you want to watch a series that has no major conflicts, little if any drama and is just like a pair of warm fuzzy slippers on a cold day that will make you feel good and happy either of these 2 series fit the bill.
