My Hero Academia: Final Season (Japanese audio) - Episode 9
Witch Watch (Japanese audio) - Episodes 21-25 (Completed)

It took me a while to finish Witch Watch due to delays on my end, but I really enjoyed the anime. I was worried that I wasn't going to be super hooked early on but upon continuing the series last month it immediately clicked with the comedy. Bibury Animation Studios have done a great job so far adapting not only Witch Watch but also Quintuplets and 100 Girlfriends so they're on my radar for any new shows moving forward.

Also worth noting Witch Witch is from the same author behind Astra Lost in Space which was very good but also an older comedy series called SKET Dance which is available on Crunchyroll (and the main leads were supporting characters in J-Stars Victory Vs.) so I may check it out sometime (though I would like to see Discotek pick it up for home video if possible).

Fairy Gone
Finished.

Great setting let down by Marlya being a bit bland. Interesting enough plot with the Secret Police pitted against the Mafia clans for possession of a book.
Bitter Sweet and Patricia Pearl were loveable rogues.

Ron Kamonohashi S2
Finished.

Took me a while to get into. Probably too much plot for me. I liked the crime of the week from S1.
However, it did build to an exciting 4 part climax that I would reckon Agatha Christie had a hand in. Given the Holmes connection, I thought of a better ending to lead into a S3. If there is one.

Am I Actually the Strongest
Complete rewatch.

Just bought this last week and I've proved that the purchase of something I had previously seen was worthwhile.
One of my favourite reincarnations.
Funny, likeable characters. Cartoonish baddies who get their comeuppance.
Fanservice provided by Flay. That Batwoman type outfit was too tight.

I'm liking Bocchi the Rock (or Super Sonico prequel as I've decided to call it, I like inventing connections that don't exist) but finding I am not wanting to watch multiple episodes.

Revolutionary Girl Utena - Episodes 16 - 23

I am finding Utena to be a very engaging show, there is a lot of constant repetition in it but the way that repetition is integrated with the characters stories in each episode, along with a good level intensity packed in for good measure and interesting visuals to relay all that the the viewer, actually makes for a very compelling narrative. Also, I have to say, it was almost a relief to see that the constant 'Bright Slapping' has stopped in this run of episodes too 😂 .

Ranma 1/2 (2024) - Episode 21

Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution

I keep forgetting to add this, but I saw this at the cinema a few weeks ago. I've heard lots about Jujutsu Kaisen but never seen any of it so I knew that there would be bits that I didn't understand going into it, but I picked up the gist of what was going on and had a good time watching it.

Little Witch Academia - COMPLETE - 9/10
This series cements it for me, TRIGGER are one of my highest rated studios. In the past year I've watched Gurren Lagann (proto TRIGGER and rights to them following the GAINAX explosion), Kill La Kill, BNA, Delicious in Dungeon and New Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt (already being a fan of P&S, gifted to us again from the GAINAX fallout). On top of already loving PROMARE.

LWA
was exactly the type of fun, charming rollercoaster that TRIGGER have excelled at in all those other titles. In 2026 I guess I should really check out the last few major titles of theirs I've so far overlooked (DARLING in the FRANXX, Kiznaiver and Cyberpunk Edgerunners)
