That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Episodes 1-14. I started watching this for the very first time this past week to determine if I wanted to order the upcoming Crunchyroll steelbooks for Season 1 and Season 2. Even though I am a big fan of Isekai fantasy series, for some reason I decided to skip this series when it first broadcast, and never bothered checking it out since. The story so far has been entertaining enough that I did go ahead and add the two Time-Slime steelbooks to my recent pre-order of 10 anime steelbooks releasing over the next three months. I just wish the steelbook covers for Slime had better artwork on them than what they got.

That's part 1 over. It's nice to have a somewhat serious show. It is a shame that out of the good main characters, there isn't one that I really like.
On the Mafia side, there is Bitter Sweet and her sidekick, Patricia Pearl who's a bit crazy. They're cool but not in it much.

Tatsuki Fujimoto 17-26

Having gone into this completely blind, I had an absolute whale of a time with this collection of Fujimoto's short stories - they're beautifully animated and frequently very, very funny. I think my favourite of the bunch was hired-killer comedy Shikaku, but shout out also to Love is Blind for its sheer absurdist charm.

Golgo 13: The Professional (1983)

I still can't quite believe we actually got Duke Togo's Series of Unfortunate Events in the cinema. As I've said before, it's a film I greatly admire for its endless style - Dezaki is absolutely in his impressionistic element here - but with its bleak and often mysogynistic outlook, it is a tough film to love, feeling more like a product of post-Watergate 70s nihilism than shoulder-padded 80s bombast. For better or worse though, there's still nothing else quite like it, and the lines you'd expect certainly got a laugh from the audience.
