Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll is a side story, like an extra-long episode, taking place after the series.
Violet Evergarden: The Movie is the official ending of the series, and wraps things up nicely, so this one must definitely be watched.

The first movie is already in my Blu-ray player to be watched tomorrow morning with the second movie to follow next week

The second half of Raideen has taken a long time to move the story on and finish what was first mapped out in the first couple of episodes of the show.

Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX - Episode 2

As someone who has seen the first episode of Mobile Suit Gundam many many times in either TV or movie format I really enjoyed this episode and how it re-imagined the events of that episode. I'm still unsure whether I like the Gundam designs though.

I watched Geneshaft about 20 years and my opinion was similar to yours, some decent ideas but terribly executed. I recall the mecha designs were ugly too.
