I was planning to watch Hayate no Gotoku! last night, however, the HD version is just too much for my computer to handle so I'm now pondering about purchasing CoreAVC so H264 decoding takes up less CPU, I just hope it works!

So, instead - I watched the first episode of Hell Girl, well rewatched it actually, I watched the first few episodes on fansub a year or so ago. Brilliant stuff.
Then I watched the first episode of Those Who Hunt Elves, once I got into it it had a certain charm about it, with the twist of them having to take the clothes off of the Elves that really makes it special. I'd like to watch more of it, despite the incredibly poor quality of the DVD. Dot Crawl doesn't seem to be the problem here, I'm trying to find the word for it, but there are hundreds of horizontal lines that fill the screen whenever there is a lot of movement, I thought it was aliasing but the wiki page doesn't say it is. So anyway, then there is a constant band of horizontal lines at the edge of the screen on both sides and on top of that, the entire picture looks old and blurry, but that's probably because of the old nature of the series and the transfer is probably from VHS or something. I doubt the series would ever get the same treatment that Neon Genesis Evangelion got. I guess the quality of the image could be copared to the original transfer of Evangelion, but with a lot more problems.
EDIT: Looking at AnimeOnDVD's reviews of the discs, they say there is no problem, so I can only think it's my computer that is the probelm. Although that means there should be problems all my other discs, but there aren't, it only affects the older ones. So I don't know -_-
The only thing that I can see being a problem is the whole NTSC thing, which might explain some things, but I didn't think PAL/NTSC was a problem on computer screens. More research is needed!

I watched Episode 1 of both Full Metal Panic! and Love Hina today.

I preferred FMP!, but I think I'll need to see more of Love Hina before knowing if I like it.... I liked the storyline of the girl with the boy's sketchbook, but a lot of the other bits were just odd.

Outlaw Star 17 - 26
(Seen the series a few times before but find it's one of those animes that you can go back and watch when you leave it a while. Definately not a one time watch anime IMO).

Today I've been watching:

Seirei no Moribito episode 2 (finally the next DVD-rip is out!)

Shakugan no Shana-tan: The Movie (parody)
Shakugan no Shana-tan (rewatch) (parody)
Shakugan no Shana-tan Returns (parody)
Master Throne Hecate-tan (parody) [these parodies are hilarious, this has everything, hentai parodies as well, absolutely genius! (I sense some Dokuro-esque humour as well!)]
Hurrah of Carmel-san (promo to the movie) (another parody)

Shakugan no Shana Special: Love and Outdoor Hot Spring Tutorial! (special OVA episode)

More to come later I hope (in the form of Shakugan no Shana: Season Two episode 4)!

EDIT: Just finished Shakugan no Shana: Season Two episode 4

And that concludes today's viewing, and viewing altogether for quite a while I should think. I realised my CPU was averaging around 80-100% during that episode, so I shall cease watching any HD episodes (and that's everything really) until either I buy CoreAVC and hope it cuts down the usage so it plays properly, or wait altogether until new computer parts come my way (my computer's like 5 years old now), but I doubt that'll happen for a long time. I might give in to temptation at some point, but I doubt it - even though the max CPU usage didn't have any major effects on viewing quality, I noticed it from seeing the high 90% so I won't be able to watch in peace now, ah well.

Anyway, as I talk and blabber on about visual quality constantly, I thought I'd write a little about that episode...

The episode seemed to be building on character development more than anything else, and it just seemed a lot more lighter than the previous three episodes. No "action" occured in this episode at all, and it seems that will continue in the next episode.
I love the idea of the "Flame Haze" group meeting thing, can't remember the name of it, but at least we know that there is a general kind of organisation behind Flame Haze activity and they don't all just do things as they want (well they still do of course, but at least there is an organisation behind it all).
Alastor saying that Yuji can go down "his own path" leads me to believe that there will be some way he can unlock the powers within him from Reiji Maigo, which shall be quite interesting.
Konoe's purpose now becomes more and more strange, with the first sign of her being something different to the norm, with her ability to communicate with animals it would seem. Along with zealous nature towards Yuji, I'm thinking it is actually Hecate and not Konoe. The possibilities are endless as to what Konoe's purpose really is, but that will be told later I'm sure.
And of course, the love triangle turns into a love quadrangle in a sense. Shana and Yoshida are becoming incredibly jealous over Konoe, the massive amount of emotion they seem to both share for Yuji I'm sure will cause problems later on now Shana seems to have distanced herself from Yuji.

Did I overdo it?

Gundam 00 - 03

PLEASE GOD, DON'T MAKE SETSUNA LIKE HITSUGAYA FROM BLEACH, COOL-LIKE, EMOTIONLESS, FIGHTS PEOPLE TO MAKE HIM LOOK AWESOME... Seriously, it's rather annoying when a character you like starts turning into one you hate.
