Madoka Magica: That was good. Really good, "Preorder on Amazon if Manga don't arse up the Blu Rays" good, even. It was like someone took Sailor Moon's Last Manga arc and basically made an original story from the broad points.

On an related note; Digimon Tamers and Xross Wars 1 have been uploaded for Worldwide CR Streaming so that might be my long term stream watching plans accounted for.

Finally got around to watching the first episode of Tsuritama, but I'm not really feeling it. The artwork's quite nice and it's certainly offbeat enough, but I dunno... probably just not in the right frame of mind at the moment.

Watched the first four eps of Sankarea as well. It was far more impressive, but I've heard rumblings from those familiar with the manga that it just runs out of steam after a while. I'll stick with it for the time being at least.

Kara No Kyoukai movie 2

Ah! Almost forgot I was doing this. Still, I'll blame it on the extra time thanks to the bank holiday. Besides, more of an atmosphere late at night.

It's nice to get some backdrop on Shiki, whilst also a nice almost light hearted look at the early relationship between her and Mikiya. I'm looking forward to next weeks movie though, as it was the last one that I watched and has my fave voice actress in it!

Loups=Garous

The film was ok (loved the art, found the plot rather unevenly paced) but the standout memory I'll take away from this was wondering how the R1 has Ayumi as a boy in the subtitles, as well as, apparently, the entire dub. Did they not actually watch the film through themselves before translating it? o_O

K-On!

Eh. It was exactly as I'd expected it to be; I'd been hoping for a pleasant surprise! The show was enjoyable to pass the time with but not something I'll ever rewatch. I'll buy the second season sometime in a sale.

Clannad

Finally finished the first TV series. I liked this a lot more than I'd dared hope to and it got better and better over the course of its run. Next up, After Story.

X-Men (Marvel anime version)

This was mostly completely forgettable, though the designs were nice when they managed to stay on model and it was good to see Armor. For some reason I marathoned the entire series despite being conscious it was nothing special. I'll skip the other Marvel anime shows, I think; they look even darker and sort of redundant.

Blue Exorcist 14-19

I have the feeling that this is due to run out of steam any second now but it remains inexplicably captivating and the long wait for the final volume is now underway. I'll start on the manga once I finish the TV series. I marathoned this all in one sitting too. It was a glorious anime-filled weekend.

Sengoku Collection e.5 - I can totally understand why most people will have dropped this after an episode, but for anyone who stuck with it this was a great reward. The show has been giving little hints that it might have a bit more substance than first suggested, and the structure of this episode - whilst not wholly original - was a great twist to proceedings.

Accel World e.5 - Mmm, battle lines starting to form, things starting to get more exciting.

AKB0048 e.2 - I hope no-one is ignoring this because of the idol connections, and that everyone is watching it because of the staff connections. The Kawamori Shouji-ness of the idea shines through, and the first two episodes have been amazing.

That'd be disappointing if true since Sankarea is the only Spring show I've watched that I feel compelled to keep up with as it airs. Tonally the first four episodes are all over the place, so I'm really quite intruiged to see where they're going with it.

Re-watched a couple of Doraemon movies today, they always cheer me up.
Nobita,s Dinosaur
Nobita And The Great Mermaid Battle
Nobita,s Animal Planet
Dorami And The Doraemons:Robot Schools Seven Mysteries

Yeah, I don't want to cast any unnecessary stones at this stage, as I was impressed with the first four eps as well. Without reading too much into any speculation based on the manga, my main concern at this point is that I can't see any obvious route by which Rea's parents would re-enter the story and, assuming that eating hydrangea leaves will keep Rea sane, there doesn't seem to be all that much of the horror element left to differentiate the story from the usual romcom fare.

I dunno, I'm probably being overly pessimistic. I haven't seen 5 yet.

Speaking of which

Fujiko: A Man Named Lupin III ep5

Slightly disappointed that they didn't expand on last week's flashback, but this was still hugely enjoyable. Part of me kind of wants the series to be about Jigen instead, he is just that cool.

Tempted to make that chin eyecatch my new wallpaper.

...that was this season?! Oh man, I thought it was next

Hyouka ep 3

Gosh darn it, I really love how certain aspects of this are portrayed animation wise. The recollection from Eru being a picture book was great. Poor Houtarou, you'll never be able to conserve your energy with her around! Although, I wonder if we'll ever meet his older sister.

Get on that AKB crack, son!

Hyouka e.3 - Well well well, I think we just got started For Real. And I don't mean the A-plot mystery - which was probably the weakest so far, except I had this weird conviction that their sempai was growing marijuana >_> - but the stuff with Eru's Uncle and the growing mystique of the Kotenbu itself was wonderful.

Heh, for some reason I hadn't considered this. I would guess "no" (or maybe not until the very end), but it would be pretty cool if maybe she is involved in something that we see (not just flashback stuff, but I would accept that too), without actually meeting up with Eru and co.
