Just watched the New Yu-Gi-Oh movie which I rented, the Japanese version from the extras

I nostalg'd when the old school soundtrack kicked in once they done their yadda yadda transformation sequence thing

I watched some episode of Bleach too!

I've been watching GITS Stand Alone Complex. Good so far,I absolutely LOVE the OP and ED and the dub is pretty damn good too.

One quibble: Motoko's uniform...what is with it? leotard and thigh highs, it's such a weird outfit =S in GITS it was explained the skintight suits were for active camo, but in the first few moments of SAC she's wearing her heavier duty uniform which reveals less flesh and goes into active camo.

Also it amuses me greatly that a show with almost no nudity has so much more fanservice compared to its predecessor which was packed full of it, utilised in a non-fanservicey way.

Tachikoma days are an amusing eccentricity too, especially in the first one where you have adorably voiced mecha discussing the relevance of words as a communication tool.

Ha! That was one of the things that kinda pissed me off about SAC too. Less nudity but more fanservice. I think that's what could be called a lose lose situation

Yeah. I think the one thing that stops me trying to badger non-anime-watching people into watching SAC is just the ridiculous way it handles fanservice.

There's a brilliant line in one episode though; I forget the exact circumstances, but for reasons beyond her control, Kusanagi ends up at a briefing in her underwear. When Aramaki questions her about it, she says something to the effect of "well, it's not like I have any choice" - struck me that even the writers thought her situation was pretty daft. :)

It's just the framing of some shots like Kusanagi's back is to the camera talking to someone and the angle of it is such that her butt is right at the front on the left.

It's almost as bad as Street Fight Alpha Generations (I think it was generations... might've been the one with Ryu's fake brother, either way it had a ridiculous amount of gratuitous butt and crotch shots of Chun Li where she's just be in frame just so you could see it.)

Welcome to the NHK : episodes 18 - 22

I really enjoyed the first half of this, but it has been running out of steam in the second half. Sato is frustrating me now, everyone is moving forward and getting over there issues apart from him, he best get a move on, only 2 episodes to go.

The iDOLM@STER ep 5

Gasp! Ryuuguu Komachi! I had expected this but...Not till the second half of the show. An interesting turn of events in a really nice episode

Okay, with each episode, this is getting more and more dramatic. Maverick is such a bastard, really. What he's done in this episode really shows how evil he is...and from the episode preview, it looks like it's Kotetsu vs the other heroes.

I feel really really sorry for Kotetsu right now; now even his mother and Kaede think he's a murderer.

Nah, I believe his mother is pretty aware of his alter-ego, so I doubt she'd quite believe it.
Well, she may be aware...but when something is on the news, and it's using his real name instead of his hero name. There will obviously be the usual "He wouldn't have done that" bla bla but until everything is explained, there will still be that doubt.

Still, the series is getting predictable now. What I imagine will happen is Barnaby will go after Kotetsu; during their fight, Kotetsu will activate his trap card - the matching pins. This will cause Barnaby to remember what really happened, and cause him and Kotetsu (and judging from the episode titles, it wouldn't surprise me if Lunatic too) go against Maverick.

Mayo Chiki episode 5 & 6 - Didn't like the new character Masamune and her tsudere attitude but felt a bit satisfied at the end of episode 6. I still felt fairly disappointed in these episodes, which isn't really a surprise.

Taiyou No Yuusha Fighbird-Episodes 30-40,yeah its abit generic and formulamatic but its also quiet addictive in a cheesy saturday morning cartoon kind of way, still a solid series though,i,m racing through it as quick as possible so i can start watching Brave Police J-Decker.
