I finally, FINALLY finished Baccano last night, alongside it's 3 OVAs. Damned good i have to say, and i love the fact that it still feels like there is a ton of stories left to be told after it. I'm gonna take a look into any translations there is for the novels and read them.

Also, finally, FINALLY going to make a start on Escaflowne tonight. Been long awaiting this, and now i finally have the chance to watch the series.

Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector - Episodes 24 - 26 (Final)

I've really enjoyed watching SRW, the final episode was fantastic and closed the series well. Well done Masami Obari!

Tu-turuuu~ Steins;Gate ep 7 desu~ - I'll admit, this series is cheating a bit with me since I love time travel malarky like this by default, but boy oh boy is this a fun series, especially now the proverbial has started to hit the fan Big Time. This ep even had some trap-of-the-season Ruka-ko action!

Space Adventure Cobra - ep 14

Much as I always wish some enterprising fansub group would redo the original Cobra, this

did raise a smile.
lol that is amusing,i,ve got the ILA fansubs of space adventure cobra and looked at that scene apart form the word bitches the subs just say, whats the problem, dont know where the bitches came from,ah well its subs like that, that can make a series funnier than it should be for all the wrong reasons, but even dodgy subs cant fault the genius of cobra.

Yeah, it was the ILA version that I downloaded originally myself, but I was disappointed with their English script for Cobra. Their subs are functional, but I always find bad English really distracting when I'm trying to watch something.

The screencap I put up is from the newer KRT release and, while it's still not great (couldn't comment on the accuracy), I think their subs do read a little better than the ILA ones - it might even be a tweaked version of the ILA script. The source footage is in a slightly better resolution too.

I might consider downloading the KRT cobra then if the source footage is better,i actually didnt find the ILA subs that bad yeah they had there flaws but nothing distracted me from my overall enjoyment of the show,i,ve got such a big list of stuff i,m downloading at moment it will take awhile to get round to downloading the KRT cobra so the ILA fansubs will do fine in the mean time.

Riding Bean

Violent, totally OTT and very entertaining.

Garaga

Bought this blind purely because it was an 80's sci-fi film, and I really enjoyed it, its not terribly original but it was a decent way to spend 100 minutes.

Mazinkaiser SKL,amazing but short OVA(3 episodes)not much to say really its loud, brash, violent Go Nagai fun for all the family lol,but totally essential.

Lupin III: Dead or Alive

Quite a pleasant surprise, this one. There's a perhaps a bit more going on than the writers can really cope with and there are a few lurches in visual quality, but there's plenty of action, obvious flair to the artwork and bonus points for portraying Zenigata as a very capable copper instead of an angry buffoon.

I've got Farewell Nostradamus on order from the States at the moment, so I might attempt some sort of double-review video once that turns up.
