Familiar of Zero 5-8

Episode 8 neatly encapsulates the problem I have with this series. The first half is a sob story concerning Rei Ayanami/Yuki Nagato clone Tabitha, a character who has barely spoken a line of dialogue in the series. Am I supposed to care?

The second half is all love potions and hot tub tomfoolery. Not great material by any means, but a lot more entertaining than the show's repeated failed attempts at being dramatic. Familiar of Zero should have just aimed low from the start.

ep 14 - Really bad. Nerima Daikon dude continually trying to grope Kaname was fairly funny, and there was a "nice" message I guess with Shinji and his Dad. Apart from that, really, really bad.
Hah, I remember that episode. Absolutely dreadful. It was, in fact, one of the reasons I stopped buying the singles at volume 4.

The first season is rather "meh" in general, but Fumoffu is hilarious and The Second Raid is the show the first series should have been.

I'm really struggling to get through it tbh, has taken me what feels like months to get two-thirds of the way through. And I'm usually such a Gonzo whore!

Just don't let it put you off the other two series. They are so much better it's ridiculous. I'm trying to remember what major change occurred between the production of FMP and Fumoffu but I'm drawing a blank...

:p

Hmm... the World Cup in Japan finished, so people were able to focus on making better anime again? ^^;

In an attempt to broaden my horizons, I thought I'd try watching a shojo series for a change. To that end, I finished Lovely Complex today and I do not feel any less of a man. In fact, it was actually quite good.

Was thinking I might give Rose of Versailles a go next, although I hear it's manly as hell.

i was a bit like before i watched Kare Kano, i guess it's the general image of shoujo's but in fact quite alot of it isn't that much different from shonen

Shiki ep 10 - OH. MY. GOD.

Don't know if it was the best episode yet, but it was certainly the most fast-paced, exciting one. Loved what they did with the time management at the beginning (I realized a little while ago I should have been taking notes to work out exactly when everything happening, but never bothered), and the ending... OH. MY. GOD.

Have you ever done that before? I've been thinking I should begin for some things.

Shiki episode 10

A awesome episode I had a feeling Natsuno was going to die ever since his parents let that creepy girl into the house but I wasn't expecting it to be Toru that does it
DenYuuDen episode 6
Kaichou no Maid Sama episode 17

and I have rewatched:

To Aru Majutsu no Index episodes 1-12
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun episodes 1-12

No, but Shiki has a very precise timeline that it jumps around in small increments, so some things are a little harder to remember than usual.
