Oh man the Tomoko episodes of GTO are always GTO walking its tightrope between of pervy irreverence and warm heartedness at its diciest. On the one hand I love seeing Tomoko becoming a star and how the emphasis is always on empowering her, on the other hand it's pretty uncomfortable that the way Onizuka goes about achieving this is making Tomoko a sexualised gravure star at 14...but that's GTO for you. And to be fair it's not just a GTO thing, as presumably young girls being exploited like this was (still is?) an acceptable/tolerated thing in Japan at the time. Still though GTO is completely impossible to dislike! I love the whole gang of students that have now formed around him having being changed and inspired by his limitless goofiness.
