Trinity Blood Episodes 1-4

Hehe me too, although I watched 1-12.

Why is it though, that half the time I felt like I was rewatching Trigun? :?

I love it, but it is one show you could really resent if Trigun is your favourite show.

I don't hate it or anything like that, it just seemed to be like Trigun in certain areas.

The next 2 DVDs arrived this morning, so guess what i'll be watching tonight. :D

Chrome Shelled Regios Episode 20
Eden Of The East Episode 7 - Still going strong...shame i have to wait another week for the next episode!

and finally....

Kanon episodes 1-6

Coming up to that particular bit....have a box of tissues ready just in case

There is nothing really to hate about it, but Abel is a Vash clone. They are both fun characters though.

Just finished watching Trinity Blood eps 13 to 19.

Yep, it's Trigun, even moreso after the reveal at the end of ep 19.

Still enjoying it though. :D

Emma Season 2 eps 10, 11 and 12.

Oh god. I'm not crying...My eyes are just leaking a little...

Utterly loved both seasons of this. It's forced it's way into my top 5. I still remember the emotions I went through at the end of season 1 and in a way these are the same.

DearS: 1-13

L/R: 1-4

Are you, by any chance, a friend of the Geek or a woman?

Also, what happened to Gankutsuou? You should be putting that into your top five; not Emma.

Heh. Just someone who gets moved far too easily :p

I'm not putting Gankutsuou into my top 5 until I've finished the whole of the series and feel that it deserves to be there. It could nosedive for me at the halfway point (Which i'm not expecting to happen) but it's certainly put in a strong showing on the first 6 eps. I'll watch some more tonight.

Licensed by Royalty? How do you like it so far?

Not awful, not amazing. Somewhere in between. It strikes me as a 7/10 series at this point. The worst aspect is the soundtrack, which sounds like it's a collection of random old American songs.

The first episode was boring; not good enough to kick off a short spy series. Rather than starting with lots of action, it started with lots of boring talking over a museum piece that someone was trying to sell in order to discover its location. The second episode was more of the same.

It only became entertaining during episodes 3-4. There still wasn't anything that wowed me but the short story about escorting a girl back to her island was quite good, and the following story which focused on various secret agents trying to beat each other in order to win a prize wasn't too bad.

Up to episode 15 of Legend of the Galactic Heroes and it's remained consistently brilliant. The soundtrack is made up entirely of classical music, the Empire is based on 19th century Prussia (a historical topic I'm very, very interested in!), I like the politics of the Free Planets Alliance, the characters are all very endearing and interesting and the battle sequences are understated but incredibly enjoyable. It's just fantastic!

Just watched the last few eps of Trinity Blood...

...and yet again an anime series finishes with a friggin stupid unfinished total bollocks ending, that explains a grand total of sod bloody all, makes you go 'What the feck, is that it?', and has you wondering why you wasted your time on such a piece of pointless shite.

No, I am not happy.

Are the Japanese incapable of actually coming up with endings that don't suck?

Gungrave and Gun X Sword are the only ones that immediately come to mind. So many anime have been let down by an inconclusive, incomplete, or downright bad ending.

Gantz 5-6
This show is BATSHIT insane. And I love it. Or at least I think I do.

Speaking solely for Trinity Blood the story (in its light novel format was still ongoing so instead of making a filler ending that contained the story ala claymore they just used one of the light novel endings hinting at things yet to be told) Guyver was pretty much the same deal.

On one side of the coin though, i guess it all depends on what kind of ending you want, a disney like one or something that you weren't expecting.

Personally i'm fine with an ending as long as i can understand it (Big O i'm looking at you)

I don't mind endings that leave things up in the air in a 'to be continued' kind of way, as long as they make sense and/or intend to carry it on in a new series or movie.

Endings that spend the whole series being built up to, only to last about 2 minutes and be the most enigmatic and limp wristed piece of storytelling you could possibly think of, really gets on my tits and makes the last however many hours of watching pointless.

Gantz is another show without a proper ending.

Darker Than Black Volume 4. Only really hinting at the main story line at the moment. Instead moving into a more monster of the week type of show.

Slayers Movies and OAVs. Not really connected to the main series in anyway, but still some more fun Slayers action for those wanting more. Unfortunately Naga really is my least favourite character in Slayers.

So I hear. But Gantz is so damn kerrr-azy that a "proper" ending hardly seems suitable, so I'm not too concerned about that. There's always the manga, I suppose, if I'm desperate to see more.

Full Metal Alchemist, Series 1, Episodes 1 to 12.

I can now see why people commenting that it diverges from the manga around episode 8. It is going to be interesting where they take it.

Bleach 219
