Time to burst your bubble. That news is about 5 months old now after all ;p.
Kinect isn't exactly that bad, but it certainly has flaws when it comes to coloured people playing it, from what i hear. Mainly that, it will still work, but if you where to do something like jump, it may not always recognise it. Microsoft say it's due to the lighting of the room and around the Peripheral but it's hard to say. All we do know is, it doesn't work with too many accents.
