Ed - Cowboy Bebop
:p

WHAT?! Her dub was better than the subbed! It was so much more..energetic **;;
I can't stand to listen to sub!Ed D:

Pfft, it didn't have as much 'randomness' in it with the dub.

All the random screams and noises she did sounded 100x times better in the japanese cut.

It was two different takes on the character, one very free the other more subdued. I enjoy watching both.

definitely Rukia from Bleach. Makes me cringe. I wish I could read subtitles really quickly... sigh.

Johnny Yong Bosch did a great job for the Vash dub. He also managed to combine serious emotion with the comedy, he has one of th ebest dub voices around. Plus I also enjoyed Tiffany Grant's Asuka, for me it was memorable in a good way.

Aha, just sprung to mind.

Worst dub ever in my opinion is in the Tenchi Movies/Tokyo for the Grandfather and Father. I know they changed them but for characters so key to the story the new actors made NO attempt to sound anything like the originals and it annoyed me deeply.

she:the ultimate weapon

in She:the ultimate weapon.
the english dubbed voice for chise is the most annoying voice i have ever heard on an anime.

Kono minikuku mo Utsukushii Sekai (This ugly yet beautiful world) isn't a great anime to start off with; but Takeru has one of the most
whiny and emotionless voices I've ever heard in the world of anime.

Meh. Kurosaki Ichigo sounds so very. . . .AMERICAN, its awful. and don't rip, i know its an American VO, but it just sounds so very horrible. Rather listen to the Eng Naruto VO, Not much of an accent there.

Also i do agree 'Shades' with the body builder Goku VO, not much of an DB/Z/GT fan myself but my friend is and he forces me to watch some of the fights.

I'll leave the rant there.

Id have to say the wrorst voice acting ever was Goku from the DBZ Movies, he always sounded like a gay american body builder to me and compleatly ruined an already terible set of movies, which isnt as easy to do as it sounds 8)
None of the voices in the DBZ movies seem to fit the characters to my ears. Not sure what a gay american body builder should sound like but Goku seems to have the same voice as Yami Yugi in Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm usually fairly tolerant of dub voices but this a rare occaision when it has put me off watching it (the other being the voice of Excel in the Excel Saga).

In more general terms I get irritated when prepubescent characters are given raspy, 60-a-day, dub voices.

Hey, remember I mentioned Kayzie Rodgers was a crap VA?

Well, if anyone doesn't believe me, here is the definitive proof:

Japanese

4kids English
http://youtube.com/watch?v=iI8wdUlHu38

Now, after you finished watching the videos, ask me this:

Is Kayzie Rodgers trying to scream out to her country to stop the fighting to prevent her country coming to total destruction?

Or is she just trying to get a pre-school class to settle down?

Because that's what it seems like for her ****** acting.

Like you said, it came across she was completely undermining the role and emotion from the original.

With the Japanese seiyu's, they really put emotion into the script, and never make anything seemed half ass or this 'I can't be bothered' attitude conveyed in some dubs.

Then again, I'm not the biggest fan of dubs myself.

I didn't like the english dub for Love Hina. I can normally handle mosy dubs, but in that case I had to either switch it subs or rip my ears off.

I went for the subs.

Boni HESTER as Ri Kohran (Sakura Wars)

Her chinese was monotone aswell as her english speech.
A thick accent with no emotion.
I thought she was awful!

only a few dubs have excellent quality.

like
FMA, Excel Saga ^^

but the...

Love Hina english dub.

is Crap!

Monica Stori as Kagome

She only had enotion in the 1st movie. WHAT HAPPENED IN THE SERIES.
she has an annoying voice with not good emotion.
