Ah, I see you had a fairly similar impression to me then. A comfy read, for sure.

There are hints of a greater plot, but it was very much an introductory volume.

I'm just hope it keeps the small page count going forward, not sure it's compelling enough to sit through more than 200 pages even if it does grow a plot... It definitely offered a nice change of pace from the high drama of other stuff I'm reading currently though!
