Wikipedia claims that Paramount used to air anime?

Can anyone remember this at all? It claims Nick at Nite (Paramount) used to air anime acquired from Manga entertainment.

I can remember Channel 4 late at night and Bravo and Sci Fi used to air the odd one once in a while but can't remember Paramount ever airing anime.

I didn't really start watching anime till recently so can anyone inform me.
 
It does ring a very faint bell, but I can't remember anythign specific.

wait til one of the more seasoned AUKN'ers contributes.
 
I guess they could of done but i didn't have cable for a few years so i only ever got to watch the first 10 minutes of paramount.
But back around 2000 anime used to be on a lot of channels.
 
It rings a bell, but my memory stinks for channels. I stopped watching on TV a long time ago though (don't even have TV in my house now and don't miss it).

It might make sense, someone was saying something about Manga Entertainment titles and around the year 2000.

Putting it all together, I heard that Blood: The Last Vampire was shown on Channel 4 around that time (at least I think it was around the year 2000, maybe it was after).

Nope some pretty mainstream "adult channels" i can remember watching the preview to one and thinking "WHAT THE HELL".
Oh how little did i know.

Wow. In fairness, I always thought hentai was a bit more of a 'accuired' taste :lol: Didnt think it appealed to mainstream porn watchers :lol:
