WII is Delayed in Japan!

:? Yip, another Next Gen console is delayed, just thank God not by too much. Nintendo announced that they would be releasing the console on December 2nd in Japan but refused to comment on a European and/or US date. Personally although a smaller fumble that the PS3 this will give Sony a small advantage on the Christmas market if the console is released at the same time in the US as isn’t December 2nd a little close to Christmas? Anyway, here to hoping that there are no further delays for us though i find the lack of comment on us conspicuous.

hmm..even still, nintendo will probably have more consoles available for sale than sony do, so i would think they may have the upper hand in that bit. Also the steep price that the PS3 has could drop sony's sales of the console so its not really too advantagous for sony
 
True, the Wii is going to do well but Sony will be pleased with anything that may help their fortunes and let’s be serous, they need it. Because of its low price the Wii is going to sell very well, not to mention the connection with the DS which continues to outsell the PSP. I just don’t like the lack of confirmation for a US and Europe release because I’ll be pissed if I don’t get my Wii till next year.
 
i would rather get mine at the end of the year, but if they delay it then it can't be helped..apparently though there is a nintendo conference in new york later today i think so it may have some more info on the release dates for the console
 
Hmm. So in Europe there will almost certainly be no PS3 or Wii, and in the US PS3 will be limited and Wii absent? Microsoft must be pretty happy right now.

soz for the double post but, considering how the PS3 Europe launch is delayed, i think Nintendo should use that to their own advantage and release it this year, then Nintendo can own Sony, and show them how to release a console on time without too much ****-chat like sony.

From what i here, and some sources tell me,
Rumours are hiting everywhere that the UK release date will be on November 24th, and will be retailing for about £150 (could obviously be higher)
but still, i sure hope it does come out on November though.
aaaargh, i want Wii already -_-
 
If your info is right it throws me into even more anger. $50 for a game in the US?! We're being charged £50! What the hell is with that? Additionally I don’t know who to believe, the BBC very rarely makes mistakes but if your stuff is right… yey!
 
i think (hence think, don't need no smart-ass to correct me and insult me after, lol) the DS also launched in the US first aswell last time.
must be to get more potential buyers as there is more population in the US than Japan.
either way, its good.
 
The Wii hasn't been delayed, it never had a release in the first place.

I'm quite certain it'll be in Europe by the end of the year, Reggie mentioned that they will have Four Million shipping worldwide.

Now please don't shatter my hopes like that again! =|
 
They should have called it the 'WII Bother' cause by the time it comes out the PS3 and Xbox 360 will have more games on the market and be better established

it is not delayed, because there was no official Uk release date set in the first place 8)

also funily Argos has the Wii listed for March 2007.

NOOOOOO!!!

Well, apparently first party games are all gonna be region free,
but you'd have to get a step-down converter if you imported a Wii.

Third party developers won't neccessarily follow suit with the region thing,
so I guess I'll just wait. Anyway, the March thing ain't official yet.

No one will buy PS3 except FF-tards and DMC fans, FF is getting old after 10 games, and DMC was like "Wow, a hack and slash." now it's like "****... another Hack and slash..."
