A trailer for When Marnie Was There (Omoide no Mani) has been released ahead of its premiere later this month.


 

When Marnie Was There is Studio Ghibli’s latest film and is based on a British novel written by Joan G. Robinson and published in 1967. The film is directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi (The Secret World of Arrietty). The trailer contains Priscilla Ahn’s theme song “Fine on the Outside” – the first Studio Ghibli theme song completely in English.

A full trailer has been released for When Marnie Was There and it looks like it's shaping up into a great film. It looks like it's skewing more to the realistic side of things but there is a supernatural angle and I can already sense that this will be a bit of dark and emotional ride from what the trailer shows.
