Having felt in the mood for an iron sight simulator, but also wanting to try and play a few more of the things lurking in my steam library, I decided to give the original Far Cry a shot. Between the daft plot and the equally silly voice acting, it' feels appreciably more tongue in cheek than its utterly po-faced sequel, but the gameplay is less varied and the setting is all too familiar - I did not realise how much the third game actually borrowed from this one aesthetically.I might stick with it for a little longer, but I'll likely switch to something else soon.
