Welcome to the NHK

Really wanna see this anime, have other things that Im watching at the mo, though Ill get round to it, looks great.
Didint know there was a novel though.

Brilliant series! trying to get hold of the manga myself at the moment. Want to buy a bookstore neer me that sells more than about 10 manga books...

I gave up on the anime a few episodes in, but I love the manga. I noticed the novel when I first started to buy the manga, but after reading this review (scroll down) I wasn't sure about buying it. I'll probably consider buying it again once I've finished the manga, and know if I want to read more.

I read the novel first, and I absolutely adored it. It was dark and it is like what that ANN reviewer said. Its not as focused on being a full out comedy more like what the anime tried to be, Thats why I felt the conclusion a lot more shocking and in place than what it was in the anime. I haven't read the manga, I want to get a hold of it when I can though. I read the novel without any preconceptions or anything and I just loved it. Some of the extremes of what that ANN reviewer said was a bit off, I found the translations great as well.

This has got to be like the only novel I've read all the way though, And its not even a -light- one.

People who know things; How different is the manga to the anime and the manga to the novel? Thanks.

i really have to see this anime, it sound so good!

It is a brilliant series. I wasnt really sure to watch it at first but im glad i did.

It's strange that a lot of my fave series' were the ones I hated at first. When I first watched NHK I was thinking "WTF is this?! :? " but somehow I became gradually addicted, really glad I didn't go with my initial judgement on this one or I would have missed out.

Yer i get that sometimes too! Ouran High was another one when i first started watching i was like 'WTF A GROUP OF GUYS!' But its in my top 5 easy! :D

Ah great, I knew about the manga but not the novel. I'll most definitely be checking it out because I really do adore this, I don't often watch anime that really hit me emotionally. I mean sure you'll see something sad, but Welcome to the N.H.K. went two steps further than simply doing that. :]

Yep, really enjoyed this. When I watched the first episode I had to see the whole series spread over two days. The book is really worth getting too.
