Starting with first at top. Think I'm getting better. They say practice makes perfect. So what do you think. Critics welcome....

I tend to start mouse doodling on paint if I'm bored, though I can't say it looks anywhere near as good - more like the scribblings of a mental patient

I like them anyhow, the pixelated quality reminds me of old-school 2d games.

hey Voddas, you should try to get yourself one of those pads for drawing.... but for mouse drawings, they look pretty good (considering how fu***** difficult it is to use the mouse to draw... ;D

Yep, like chaos said, you should get a tablet ;D.

I think the 3rd one down is my favorite, and I can definitely see your artistic skills progressing! I think the best parts of your pictures are where it is very high detail, like on the arms, hands, etc.

Cheers for the comments peops. It's funny you should say, but I've been saving for a Tablet PC for AGES.... Things keep coming up where I've had to take a lil out at a time. Like holiday and my sisters wedding. Ah well. I definately want one like, and it will be mine.
:P

It is hard to draw with a mouse (harder than a pencil definately), I love doing details on my drawings however I gues I haven't quite got the jist on my PC. One twitch and out comes the eraser again. lol. Can become quite fustrating. I have a weakness of getting so far in my drawings and then feels like it gets rushed. That only happens on the computer like.

I'll post others when I have time to do any more. :P

First time drawing animal/people things (with mouse). Got a bit lazy with the shield but loved drawing head and body. Also first time using layers which was fun. Should be able to use them more efficiently next time.

If you can do that with a mouse, then I'd certainly be interested to see what you can do with a tablet! The potential is definitely there.

Thanks. Now all I need is a tablet. Getting used to the mouse like but a tablet would be SO much easier.

Very nice. How do you do the blends in the shading in the background, etc. ? Like the blurred bits in the background?
I mainly us a paint brush but very large. It was my first time time using layers, so some of it was done by accident, but i liked so i kept it. Layers are so cool (>new to layers, obviously). Any tips on the shield?

PS I have the tablet on my to-do list. So planing on buying it in August after I go to America with the Misses. Then I will definately be getting one. They are soo cool.

I'm in a clan for COD4 and we're going to i34 to play in a multiplayer tournament in August. The lads wanted something to put on the team shirts and asked me to draw something, sooo... I drew this for them.

Gonna have the name of the clan written on the right hand side of it. Haven't showed it to them yet like. What do you peops think?

Hi Voddas, You are doing incredibly well to say you are using a mouse. I do quite a bit of drawing on the computer - I used to mainly do design work but have started doing more arty stuff and got myself one of these: http://www.tablet4u.co.uk/product/en/bamboo-fun-medium-white.html and have never looked back. You have ten times more detail and control with a tablet, but you'll probably want an A5 size at least - a lot of people are tempted by the A6's because they are cheaper, but they are just too small to be of any real use.

That looks freaking sweet! I have actually been saving for a tablet for ages. Only reason I haven't bought one yet is coz I had to do some repairs on my car. Saving continues however and a state of the art Tablet will be mine, oh yes, it will be mine.

It's funny that you've taken your name from a character from "Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou" by Hitoshi Ashinano. I read the manga last month, had been meaning to for a while too. Quite a few of doodles were influenced by that manga while I was reading it. Just wish their could have been more coz I found the manga and drawing style very relaxing.

Cheers for the comment by the way. :D

I actually taught myself to use the tablet by tracing round images from YKK! Also some Yoshitoshi ABe artbook scans, as he seems to draw in a similar way to me (except much better, of course).

With referance to Ayase, I've mentioned before that I identify with wandering characters - sadly this world just isn't made for them anymore (unless you have an unlimited supply of cash). Even the gypsies are settling down these days. Well, roll on the end of civilisation, thats what I say.

Liking a lot of these, especially the tiger, gun girl and the self portraits (aren't they?) Very nice! :D
Get a tablet too!!! I'm looking for one myself.

Cheers Chaz. Tablet went on hold after money problems :(

Will still be getting one, only it'll be a while before I do.
Some of the drawings are self-potraits actually. I tend to do that when I'm stumped on what to draw. ^_^

EDIT/ I have now raised £600 thus far. I could get an ok tablet for this price but I must persevere for a better one. It'll be worth it in the end.
