Views on the .hack Series (Both Signs and Twilight)

Yep, I wanted to check out a series called .hack... Two of my online friends are .hack fans and one of them is trying to get me into the series.

But I need your opinions, is it worth buying the Boxset and the Manga...

Opinions please and thank you ^^
 
I tried getting into sign and roots but neither appealed to me. Theres not alot of action and the story is very very slow.

Dont know whether that helps.
 
Couldn't get into them, I love it when a series decides it wants to be a fantasy or a reality, but loading in and out of the game just made me think, "Whats the Point". Its a game, you die you restart, or turn the system off

that doesn't work with the .hack story at all lol
 
I actually really liked the .hack// twilight manga. The concept was original, the art was cute and clean, there are some funny moments, the characters are pretty fun - even if you don't end up liking it, it's hardly going to make you bankrupt at only 3 volumes long!

If you're into light-hearted comedy/fantasy manga, give it a try (I don't, normally, but I loved this!)
 
I'm a big .hack fan, so I can only say buy it!
But it is really worth the money, for both Sign and LOTT
