Just Passing Through
The Wildcard
Got Tamako Love Story today, only for the DVD. Consider my pleasant surprise when the Blu-ray disc worked in both of my Panasonic Blu-ray players. Region B compatible.
From my experience, most recent Sentai BDs seem to have the Geolocking changed from US or CA to not JP, making them practically region free bar any Japanese Blu-ray players. Not sure if this applies to all their discs nowadays, but this was already the case for the Chuunibyou S2 discs.Got Tamako Love Story today, only for the DVD. Personally I wouldn't buy a show on DVD if there are BDs out there, but I can understand not wanting to risk buying discs that might not play. All the more reason for the list in this thread (and this thread in general) to be kept up to date, maybe I should start checking the discs in my collection. Can't exactly afford to take a chance on that. I need to know that those discs work in UK players before I shell out. Besides, I've already bought a wodgeload on DVD because I know I can watch those, Squid Girl, Non Non Biyori, Is The Order a Rabbit...

If I remember correctly, I believe JPT mentioned that he can't play geo-locked discs hence why he's gone for DVDs in this case. All three of those titles you have stated have been already been confirmed geo-locked.

I'll confirm tomorrow when I unbox it with some other sets I purchased and test it in my player etc.Star Blazers Space Battleship Yamato 2199 Part 1 states region 2/A but I don't like getting part sets. Especially if part 2 is only region 1.
I thought Black Butler: Book of the Atlantic states region a? I might be wrong. I'll have to double check.
