Just checking all the US bluray listed that got reprinted with Essentials marking on their cover can those still play region B?

i'm interested in getting some stuff from the sentai sale, anyone have any experience with a Toshiba BDX1100 and geolocked stuff? it has the region free blu-ray firmware hack on it but i assume that probably won't be good enough and don't really want to risk wasting money if they won't work because of the geolocking

I use the exact same model as my region free player, works great. You can change the region in the setup menu, press 8520 then OK, then you can change between A, B or C.

Geolocking isn't the same as region code locking, it's basically a check to see the country the player is located in, which I'm fairly sure is software based, but depending on the player it sometimes isn't possible to change.

Ohh, I thought oldmario meant it was to change region.

Geolocking works fine. I did have an issue with playback on the Danmachi ova though.
