If you just keep the money saved up then the delays shouldn't really mean you need to cancel anything. That said, you would have to resist the temptation to spend the money you have on something else and you'd be going longer without anything shiny and new.I'm not sure if I have the willpower myself, my budget is already kind of bad because of impulse buys.I don't know if everything coming out at once would be such a big issue for anime. Since it's a niche market and most fans are likely to track releases and pre-order things, there probably just aren't so many people who are interested but don't already have the release after the initial wave. It might distribute the purchases a bit more but I'm not sure it would really reduce them (though perhaps a bit).
