UK Anime Christmas Sales for 2025 [Anime Ltd's 12 Days of Xmas + More]

Actually that's a valid point. As a retail outlet facing tremendous delay regular mass email updates would have been nice to see, rather than us relying of checking a forum to see what's happening.

Though admittedly it is absolutely fantastic to see the level of engagement shown here. Not many places would do that. However I presume not many customers would even be aware of the forum so they would be in the dark, unless they reach out directly.
And now I do have an email on this subject of shipping. Although I guess no detail, just reassurance that the orders are not forgotten.
So the criticism and suggestions have presumably been noted and acted on.

I'm actually planning to send out another update today via e-mail on any unfulfilled orders - the main reason I've been avoiding more regular updates is that there's nothing much more to say other than "all orders are being shipped out as quickly as possible", and it's depressing enough having people claiming we're all AI chatbots as it is... 😅
Do we win a prize if we're the last order to be fulfilled?

Thank you, I appreciate having at least an expected latest shipping date.

Yeah, the send me another order. So I received one, they sent another, and there are two more left. I don't know how it works, but they sent me the second and fourth orders I placed. The order of these shipments is strange, but I see they're starting with the ones with the fewest items.

Haha, I received this package from Robert Woodhead for his Bubble Gum Crisis Kickstarter I backed in 2014:

Huhhh? Why were you last? 😆

I remember that Kickstarter. Did I miss a funny story?

I believe Robert and I got into a friendly "argument" about the best way to do the shipping process on the Kickstarter chat - we were only teasing each other, and just having some fun - and I ended up saying something like "well if that's how you feel, then you can always sit my package off to the side and ship it to me last, just for spite!" So he ended up writing that on my package, lol!

My big order from the 2nd just shipped. Now just waiting to see what's going on with Perfect Blue.
Amazon are now out of stock, which either means AL have retrieved the stock or Amazon have sold it all, considering it's listed as the highest selling anime bd on the site atm it could unfortunately be the latter.

I'm waiting on it too, thankfully I do have an alternative available as a local store has stock, but it will cost me €20+ over the AL store order I have.

That's brilliant. 😆

I remember that AnimEigo Kickstarter for Bubblegum Crisis because I was mulling over getting a copy myself. I seem to remember asking Robert Woodhead a question about something via their Facebook page. He always came across as witty and fun on that project.

I ended up not ordering a copy in the end, unfortunately, purely because of the shipping cost and already having the old MVM DVD box set of the series.

You know all about Transatlantic shipping costs, of course. 😅

Could this chaos cause AL to order another print run to fulfil
a) the orders not possible from direct sales
b) the demand that exists as seen in the Amazon sales rankings

Although as I understand it minimum runs are 500 units and might be hard to get it into the queue....
(someone correct me if I'm super wrong!)

His response to being asked as the creator of Wizardry why he never released the OVAs that were made in Japan was pretty funny. His response was that he wasn't into masturbation.

Speaking of Wizardry I'm looking forward to the anime adaptation of the Blade & Bastard spin off novels.

The first game that he made got a remake a couple of years ago if anyone wants to try it, old school hard as nails dungeon crawler, currently 60% off on Steam.

Wizardry is probably the most important game to release in Japan in the 80s as it directly inspired the creation of the early jrpg series like Dragon Quest.
