I own it too (that ADV brickpack DVD release), I liked it a lot and this conversation is making me want to rewatch it (plus I never saw it dubbed so I'll at least try the dub this time!) :)
 
I bought it as a 2 part show during a previous sale or DOTW.
Went in knowing nothing and was pleasantly surprised. It kept my interest all the way through.
Except that one scene that got it an 18.

Part 2 is still in their clearance section at £7.99

Combining two parts into a single set is usually just a rebox of the same discs. So although more compact is kinda nice for a non-ce, I don’t think I’m missing out.

While the ending is rushed and a bit ... outer worldly... it is not a train wreck like Games of Thrones...

For £19.99 it is a steal.
Factions and betrayals left and right.
Good one on one fight scenes in typical A1 style.
For the bigger army battles: Nothing with grand tactics... if you have seen it: Arslan Senki was better in that regard (but the one on one fights were lackluster...).
