A few of my loca
For those that missed out on snow white with the red hair CE in the 2024 christmas sale,

£14.85 for snow white with the red hair CE from ebay (Might be worth watching as I got and offer, but was only £14.15 (11 copies left at time of posting))

AllTheAnime 2024 christmas sale it was £10 (although before discount codes)
A few of my local CeX stores still have copies of this that were traded in around that sale. I think I remember someone saying they were giving £30 cash for them but now they are only selling them for £15. It was crazy they went from having a couple in the whole network to loads of stores having 4+ copies 😬

This isn't a bargin but is probably the most relevant thread to put this.

Amazon US are changing their policies wrt co-mingling of stock "fulfilled by Amazon", this should reduce the chances of getting bootlegs like what happened a few years ago with the bootlegs of Fist of the North Star being used to fulfil Amazon orders, as they will ship the inventory of the 3rd party you ordered from and not from the nearest Amazon warehouse with stock from a random 3rd party.

I had no idea this was even a thing! Handing out random businesses' stock is just bizarre.

The newest anime-on-line deal is Fate/Zero!

Too bad the Fate/Zero DOTW isn't for the original two CE Box sets, so I could complete a trifecta - I own the LE box sets Volumes 1 & 2 of Fate/Zero from both Aniplex of America and Aniplex of Japan, and also the LE box sets Volumes 1 & 2 of Fate/stay night from Japan, US, and UK - so I'm only missing the two UK Box sets of Fate/Zero for me to have 12 big boxes of duplicate Fate goodness in my anime collection, lol.

Sorry but I apparently got the final copy of that at a con about 13 years ago, or at least the final copy sent out by MVM.

I bought the first CE release from MVM in 2014 when it was released, which is one box that has room for both parts. I don't know if there was a re-release with two box sets after that, I never felt the need to have more than one version even though it's one of my favourites.

The one where part 2 has placeholder text left on it by accident?

Hmm, ok, that is kind of odd - I just assumed the UK Fate/Zero CE was in two fat box sets like the UK F/sn I have, as are all the other sets from the US and Japan. I didn't start importing UK CE sets until 2016, so I missed the original UK Fate/Zero.

Fyi for anyone outside the UK ordering from Amazon UK they are now adding an "import deposit" fee to your order. This also applies on Amazon IE for any item dispatched by Amazon UK, and even worse free shipping appears to have been removed entirely unless you have Prime.

Import fees deposit is likely not a real change.
For international customers they remove UK VAT first (0% for books = no removal on these) and, depending on destination (& value?), either add import fees deposit or local VAT.

For orders below the customs treshold (currently at €150?) import fees deposit & local VAT should be exactly the same amount. For any larger orders, the import fees deposit is local VAT + customs rate, however for anime DVD & Blu-ray the customs rate is 0% anyway, so again no difference.

In rare occasions when customs don't charge amazon for import fees by error, Amazon promises to refund import fees deposit.

It was being added on top of Irish vat as well on the IE domain, all prices on the IE domain already have the local 23% rate applied.
