TRSI license 2X2=Shinobuden

At their panel at the American anime convention Anime Expo, TRSI announced their acquisition of comedy ninja anime 2X2=Shinobuden.

While not many of TRSI's releases have reached the UK as of yet, ADV UK did distribute the horror anime Boogiepop Phantom (which is licensed by TRSI) here. So UK fans should not dismiss the chance of a release.

Thought that this would get licensed! All the more 'mainstream' ones do.

Be warned everyone - it's completely different from Boogiepop Phantom!

2X2=Shinobuden is a slapstick, slightly ecchi comedy about a kunoichi (female ninja) in training called Shinobu. Of course she isn't the brightest spark and the tasks given to her are not the 'normal' kind lol. You'll all have to watch it, to see! Each episode is 15mins long and probably follows the manga quite closely.

I watched all the fansubs, and enjoyed the series but it isn't anything groundbreaking although it's cute and perverse (only because of Onsakumaru's comments) at the same time!

Although I only managed to catch the first episode during its fansub run I quite enjoyed 2x2=Shinobuden. I can't say I'd buy it, but as surreal, ecchi ninja comedies go it was pretty entertaining.
 
I had honestly never even heard of this title till I saw the information on ANN last night. It sounds ok, comedy isnt normally my thing mind. There does seem to be quite a lot of posotive feedback though on the show in general, so who knows : might be something I look into ;) .
 
From what ive heard this is actually a very funny show and very good, havent seen it myself but alot of people have reccommened it to me
