I'd say read 'reborn on the mars' first as it follows the star of sorrow story and then the other two. it's small text but its easy to read and there are light hearted drawings along the way. They are light novels so you will devour them quickly, if you're left wanting more, check out the manga, the gothic style is interesting and Abel, the priest, is entertaining, he calls a cute boy 'dreamy.'
