The Japanese film website, Cinema Today, has posted a trailer for the latest adaptation of Junji Ito’s award winning manga series Tomie.
The manga focuses on an incredibly beautiful high-school girl named Tomie who bewitches the men around her. So much so that she can make them fall in love with her and brings out the worst emotions in them. As a result, she is repeatedly murdered and dismembered. However despite being killed she can regenerate and ensnare more men in an endless cycle of violence.
The film is named Tomie Unlimited and this is the eighth film adaptation of the manga series. It has been directed by Noboru Iguchi (The Machine Girl, Mutant Girls Squad) and his back-catalogue suggests that he should be able to handle the adaptation.
