If they're slowing everything down just to anglicise the script for a British audience, it might be best if they stopped? I think we can cope with the occasional 'mom'.
I had the same thought a couple of episodes back, where all the swearing seemed overly British. To be honest, I find it pretty jarring as I'm so used to Americanised subtitles. If it is the reason for the delay, I think it's ridiculous and totally unnecessary.

I just wish Anime Limited would let Crunchyroll have the streams for their shows, and use Wakanim as a secondary option for those who want the choice of Download to Own.

You say let - to date they have not made me an offer for a single show we've bought. They know who we are, where to reach us and that I have no problem dealing with them :). Don't do it for free especially as they have a built up audience - but the door is always open :).
Apologies, I stand corrected Andrew. It's shame that they've not made contact, but here's hoping for some future interaction. :)

Soooo.... seems like that chinese website wasnt leaking anything that was true... so no 2nd season confirmed yet since its been "delisted" from the site... shame :\

There's still set to be an announcement early next month by the main VA or something, its probably the official announcement of season 2 or a spin off/continuation manga ..or both.

I've just asked Crunchyroll about the issue Andrew raised and I would suggest other people (especially premium members, though the voices of free members also matter!) do the same to show there's demand for Anime Limited titles.

Viewster is nice but - again - it's a service with no concept of things like a schedule, and having no ad-free version is really jarring. They don't even put the ads at logical times in the episodes; with Bakumatsu Rock they're often halfway through a song and repeated twice in a row! I know anime has ads in Japan if you watch it on television, but they're at least not the most intrusive things known to mankind like the ads on Viewster. The ads on Wakanim are far better as they're generally funny and in French :D

I'd be behind iTunes too, though I'd far rather we were day-and-date with the US simulcasts and I'm not sure -any- of the non-US anime streaming sites have a reputation for that. Once it's delayed my interest in viewing goes down significantly since the discussions online pass and I may as well wait for a home video release to view in decent quality and without weird streaming issues. I hope Crunchyroll and Anime Limited can have a dialogue soon.

I'll send them a message later too. A few friends of mine have started really getting into Anime since watching Attack On Titan & solely use Crunchy/Netflix for Anime watching so it'd be great if certain shows could find their way onto Crunchy for them.

I didn't say I thought they hated the UK but maybe they get a lot of these :D

Anyway, a response:

Hello,
We actually bid on everything!

I just saw another email about Anime Limited and sent that off to Licensing.

Will forward your concerns as well. (And no, we don't hate the UK.)

Let's keep nudging them!

Nice. Lets do dis.

Its a win/win situation. More dolla for Andrew to keep providing us with pretty things & gives more UK fans access (Wakamin is still very much unknown to the vast majority) to shows from their catalog which can only be positive.

I received a reply earlier as well,

Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry.

As always we are trying to improve both our programming as well as the devices we support and their functionality.

I have passed your email along to our product development team.

Perhaps I should of worded myself better lol

I've not watched this but it's been on my radar. Is there a dub yet and if not, will there be?

Nope, it's just finished airing as of Thurs/Fri last week but I cannot imagine it not having a dub upon its eventual release.

Anime Limited have the physical release license for the UK :)

I like Anime Limited. :) Hopefully some info on an uncensored version soon!
The BDs haven't even started coming out in Japan yet so it'll be a while. I think it's coming out it 4 volumes of 3 eps in Japan which is really weird though. Never seen that happen for a single cour series before.
Let's be honest here too, half the scenes can be "uncensored" by pasting the image in paint and using the invert tool, so you're not missing that much for the time being.

Received a lovely response.

Hello,

Thank you for your inquiry.

I've already nudged the licensing team at this information! Hopefully we'll get something positive here!

I've not seen this series, but I think I might give it a watch.

Very interested in British subtitles being used in series' though, and hope that such a decision would continue into the future.
Question though; are those subtitles likely to be used on any physical release?
Additionally, are there any other series that use British English subtitles instead of American ones?
It would be nice to read subtitles that don't require me to have to translate them even though they are, supposedly, already translated (I'm looking at you almost any anime that uses school years!).
