I'll update this properly later, but i thought i'd throw a rundown of what's going on and what's to come. TGS starts in a few days time, but before that, we just had the Nintendo 3DS press conference with...a lotta titles. It's somewhat overdue to be honest, but here is the list they gave with release dates for japan.

Super Mario 3D Land: November 3
New Love Plus: December 8
Monster Hunter 3G: December 10
Mario Kart 7: December 1
Tekken 3D Prime Edition: Winter
Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble: Winter
Metal Gear Solid 3D Snake Eater: Winter
Girl's RPG: 2011
Kid Icarus Uprising: Q1 2012
Resident Evil Revelations: Early 2012
Animal Crossing: 2012
Mario Tennis: 2012
Paper Mario: 2012
Luigi's Mansion 2: 2012
Mario & Sonic at London Olympics: 2012

For Wii:

Zelda Skyward Sword: October 27
Hoshi no Kirby Wii: October 27
PokePark 2: Winter 2012
Taiko Drum Master Kettei-ban: November 23
Mario & Sonic at London Olympics: December 8

And on top of that, the new titles announced:

Fire Emblem
An all new entry in the classic Nintendo strategy series. For the first time, the game will have cooperative play. A release is set for 2012.

Shinrei Camera
This Tecmo Koei title from the makers of Fatal Frame was announced a couple of weeks back. No release date was announced today.

Culdcept
Nintendo will be publishing a 3DS entry in the popular strategy series. Omiya Soft is working on the game. A release is set for 2012.

Culchopit
A soccer-themed simulation game from Parity Bit's Hiroyuki Sonobe. Due for release in 2012.

Hatsune Miku Project Mirai
A 3DS rhythm game from Sega based off the Hatsune Miku franchise. Unlike the PSP titles, this will feature big-headed "Nendoroid" style characters. It will also have AR dance performances. A release is set for March 2012.

SD Gundam G Generation 3D
This was revealed back at the announcement of the new Level-5 developed Gundam New Age franchise, as it will be one of the first titles to have units from New Age. The platform was never announced, but today Nintendo revealed it to be 3DS. A release is set for December 22, with pricing at ¥6,090.

Dynasty Warriors VS
This new entry in Tecmo Koei's Dynasty Warriors series has four player competitive play. Release set for 2012.

Bravely Default: Flying Fairy
A new Square Enix RPG that's due in 2012. This will have Akihiko Yoshida characters. It's meant to be like an old-school RPG, but will also have AR features.

Friend Collection
A 3DS version of one of the biggest Japan-only DS titles

Will fire more details of what's what after i get some sleep.

I watched it and while I was ******** bricks over the Zelda footage and such, when it came to the 3DS I had to ask how much of this would actually leave Japan. Would love MH Tri G to be localized, when Tekken gets released I'm seriously considering buying it, Luigi's Mansion 2 is day zero.

Onto more Nintendo News.

So, we got official pictures of the 3DS slide pad today, and they actually make it look a little better than expected.

It's set for a December 10th release in japan for only 1500 yen. A single AAA battery looks to be needed for it though.

As for what games are compatible with it;

Monster Hunter Tri-G(i expect Monster Hunter 4 eventually too)
Resident Evil: Revelations
MGS 3D: Snake Eater
Kingdom Hearts DDD
Ace Combat 3D Cross Rumble
Dynasty Warriors VS
+ others yet to be announced.

No matter how much I look at that add on for the 3DS, I still think it looks like a siamese twin, remind me why handheld consoles need thumbsticks again?

Why does no one else mention how the extra circle pad peripheral also adds another pair of shoulder buttons? That is almost as big a deal as the circle pad tbh.

Yeah, I was surprised to see them in that second shot as they have been getting no press coverage at all.

Still doesn't look the best, though. :-/

I think I would have enjoyed the PS Vita Conference more if there was far less talking.

The two cats in SF X Tekken were pretty cool, too bad they will probably be JP only.

Final Fantasy X is getting HD'd. Which is only worth doing just to see this in glorious HD.

I think that was it for anything interesting with the Vita.

Not sure, but i'll have a dig about, see what i can find.

On another note. the first details from TGS for Professor Layton vs Gyakuten Saiban have been released, with new screens and what good old phoenixs' role for the game will include:

Andriasang said:
Joining the shots, the site and its print counterpart reveal that Layton and Ace Attorney's Phoenix Wright meet in"Labyrinth City," a city in a different world. Wright hopes to challenge the city's "Witch Trials," which apparently follow some difficult to grasp rules. As for Layton, his role isn't clear at present.

One new gameplay system is the "Gunshuu Saiban" system. That translates to "Mob Judgement." Standard rules do not apply when the mob rules. Phoenix Wright will have to face off in questioning against crowds of witnesses.

Famitsu introduces new characters like Mahoney (in the above screens, the blond girl), the accused witch Phoenix Wright defends, and Jeeken (the red-haired guy with the sword), the prosecutor in the case.

Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney is due for 3DS release in 2012.

you will also find some new screens on the main page for this too: http://www.andriasang.com/comy69/
