To Heart

I was just looking at Right Stuf's site it it shows that they should be doing a thinpack set of the first season of To Heart

Any one else interested in getting this series, I know I am :D

The most interesting thing about is that the series was originaly put on cels and spliced, which left right stuf having to do a ton of restoration but tankfully they've been able to do the first 13 epiosodes, which I'm entenraly grateful for

EDIT: Oh heres the main site for you to check out To Heart

Just a note, if anyone's thinking of getting this series, the thinpak boxset corrects some of the issue that the original single volume releases had. I think it was something to do with one of the volumes being only in mono-audio instead of stereo... That's all fixed with the boxset release though. :)

I was thinking about buying the singles a month or so ago from Up1, but I'm glad I didn't now. The thinpack's artwork looks gorgeous!

What is this "to heart" like? heard it's an adult game as well...
Not that I'm complaining, I'm pretty fond of "air"... ^_^

It's a mirror of the original artbox, just scaled down to fit the thinpak.

Just thouht I mention that I spoke to one of the guys on right stuff, and he says that the thinpack set won't be coming out till the 29th of August

(can I what till then? :( :( )

anyhow in other news I notices that they've got license for the series Maria-sama ga Miteru (Maire watches over us) which they're gonna have the first season released by July 29th, fully subbed

For anyone thats interested in shojo part yuri

Maire watches over us

I really hate To Heart but I'm definitely getting Mari-mite. Chaos, if you liked Air you'll probably like To Heart (I can't stand Air either). The animated version has the adult stuff completely removed I believe. It's cute (blech :)) and seems popular as a classic series of its genre. And Right Stuf seem to put a lot of effort into giving their shows good releases and individual care.

"Maria-sama" is brilliant and can be enjoyed on the girly level watching the main characters grow up or just to see attractive girls blushing at one another. Win:win!

I was under the impression that it was only To Heart 2 on PC that had adult content, and it makes me wonder why that it's more know for it's adult dating sim? :?

If you mean Strawberry Panic, there is an anime version and the first two volumes are already out.

Yes of course I was getting mixed between the two, there's two out already, what is this subbed?

It's amazing they brought out 26 ep from 3 volumes

I watched the first episode of Maria-sama a few years ago on fansub, it's certainly an intriguing concept. I've yet to watch many anime where they're slow paced and full of relationships, I should say slice-of-life, Air was like that (which is one of the only ones I've actually seen), they're just so like nothing else you could think of in terms of originality.

So basically you hate what I like? Ok, then, I don't like you anymore ;D

Noo now I'm just confused! :)

I don't like bishoujo stuff in general, but I recognise that's a genre-bias so try to make it clear my militant feminism may not apply to all looking for some light hearted fun (or not so light hearted in the case of Key series from what I hear).

I think with the game version of the original To Heart there were a few different versions, some adult and some not. The adult stuff was, I understand, mostly just spliced in at the end rather than integral so there are fans of both versions around.
