The World God Only Knows Ends Soon

The dust cover for the 25th volume of Tamiki Wakaki's manga The World God Only Knows will show an announcement that the series will end in the next volume. The series has been running for over 260 chapters each for a little over 5 years. The World God Only Knows gained a boost in popularity following the first season of its TV anime.

That's quite an abrupt announcement but I guess it was inevitable when you consider the direction Wakaki has taken the manga. I haven't been enjoying it lately so I'm sort of glad to see it finally starting to end instead of just moving along at a glacial pace for who knows how many years.

Kinda a shame to see any Manga go down hill though, but I guess some concepts are hard to keep fresh.

Odd that we haven't seen anyone in the US pick it up, perhaps knowing the final length is 26 volumes will encourage someone to licence.

Been a brilliant series thus far but has had the feeling of coming to an end soon. ending it on a high is a plus for me

Maybe it will finally get a US/UK release in English if they know it's ended.

I hope this means that more time can go into the Anime and they can work on English Dubs. I know that's what happened for Bleach or at least it looked that way with play.com having a brilliant turnaround in releasing a bunch of series/seasons in the past year and a half. So much so in fact that I am terribly behind now!
