Next week in Weekly Shounen Sunday there will be an announcement of a 3rd season of The World God Only Knows has been green-lit for production, as well as the production of a spin-off OVA focused on idol character Kanon Nakagawa.

Well if you consider they announced S2 in the preview at the end of S1 someone clearly thinks they are on to a winner. Even if that announcement was not part of the original broadcast version adding it to the DvD/BR release has to be done before you sell a single copy so they must be confident about the show.
