This is the thing with mecha anime. I keep hearing folks say that mecha shows don't play well to the UK fan base. But the reality of those shows is that, within a single genre, there are many different methods of execution. So some will skew toward action, others toward character drama, some relegate their mecha to background details, and some are... Godannar.
