Big news for the next MCM Expo - for the first time this October, the event will run for three glorious days.
The show will open on 2PM on Friday 29th October and then run for full days on the Saturday and Sunday. Plans are afoot for the May 2011 Expo to run over three full days.

Wow! I assume this is due to the record breaking amount of people who attended last week's! This is great, this gives me another reason to go to the October one too :)

Hm, with the bank holiday weekend expos this could be good, but I'm not feeling the purpose of the Friday one. I imagine most people will still hit the Expo on the Saturday, and it will still be chaotic and exhaustingly slow.

At least they're looking into it. Perhaps they will improve other issues as well.

looks like they want to keep on track with the county show they had in Surrey. Still just as Rui says most people work through the midweek so it will still be hectic on the weekend.
It was so humid, I could have grown a banana plant in there

I think I need to start my own convention to fix the problems... It's not more days, it's more space they need!

Both isn't bad, and I still figure it will have more space next time - if not in October, then in May... Do they get a similar attendance?

Being an Expo virgin, I would say this may be benificial to me, as it's in the month of my b-day (save money!!!) and I dont work Fridays. I guess it's for the people who have weekend jobs like me, so they can travel the day before, go to the Expo on Friday and then get the last train home.

But since I'm lacking in experience, I have no idea about the spacing issues... Maybe they extended it so they can have certain shows on the different days? (So some would evidently have to miss those shows.)

I really want to go, but a northerner heading to London, on his own and depending on money matters, I've got a dim view of my chances this year too.

Yup it's about the same. The advantage of it not being during exams. As it's mostly dealers, there's still the advantage of turning up first thing on the first day. It needs more room or it needs to have different things on each day, but changing all the dealers over on saterday night would be nighmareish.

Then its a good chance to people who don't have school/uni/college/work to get in and buy them before they inevitably sell out on saturday.
Indeed, those in such a position will reap such benefits. Nonetheless, I expect that many folk used to the traditional arrangement will lament the loss of their worms to such early birds.

Brilliant that means I can get tickets for Friday as I am never able to make the weekends thanks to my shift pattern at work
