Still not confirmed though is it?

I have asked Beez on there Twitter but they haven't replied yet.

For some reason your question didn't show up on our feed (which is odd) but to answer it - it's out in France and lined up for Germany. No release yet in the UK but I'll look at scheduling it in if there's interest for it :).

Andrew
Are there other Beez Anime Legends releases that have been released outside the UK?

Unless someone wants to correct me s-CRY-ed uses the same disc in France as they do in England. So if you Really want Anime Legend release of s-CRY-ed you can import the Frence version.

With how cheap it re-release titles I would find it very surprising that Anime Legend s-CRY-ed won't make appearance in the UK at some point.

I'd buy it. When I watched it on Anime Central it was one of those shows that didn't do anything new or unique, but for mindless entertainment I kind of liked it. I guess I can be shallow when it comes to anime some times...

so what it is about?

Some time before the anime is set, an incident happens in japan, causing part of the island to break off. Some of the people from this area are changed, becoming what they call in the series, Alter-users. They each have a unique power. Time passes and a new city is built on the island, although the main land are distrustful of the powers they have, they establish a group called HOLY in order to keep the peace on the island and keep the native alter-users undercontrol. They manage to recruit a lot of alter-users to their cause.

The main story itself though focuses on two opposing characters, Kazama and Ryuoh (I may be wrong on the names here, its been a while since i saw it). Kazama is a Native Alter-user, taking jobs for money and is the series protangonist. Ryuoh is a high ranking member of HOLY and to start with he's the antangonist, the two have a goku-vegeta complex working.
The two meet a few times in the first half and fight, most times the outcome is the same, but then in the second half, things get different, people's views are altered and the real badguys make the scene.

At its most basic its just another Shounen fighting show at its most complex...its just another Shounen fighting show. As someone else said, its mindless entertainment, not a must see but it won't kill you if you watch it.
