So the new logo for the UK distributor MVM has been revealed and to be honest I think it looks cheap and like a poor rip of the Jetix logo. It's not a big deal and it doesn't really matter that much in the long run(plus it's Sunday and i've got nothing better to do right now except housework) but from a design point of view and taking into account that they represent a large chunk of the anime seen in the UK it doesn't look very good to have something so cheap looking staring people in the face.

There's nothing wrong with the old logo, it's not that interesting but it looks neat and it gets the job done. If they really want a new logo then they should try again.

So vote for which you prefer. The new one or just stick with the old.

*Maybe somebody from MVM might see this and get people up there to rethink a little... then again maybe not*
 
Old! It look more professional and something you'd expect from a distributer.
The other looks like it could be for a child's storybook publisher.
 
If it ain't broke as they say, don't fix it. The current one looks classier than the new one somehow. I guess it depends on what corporate image they're trying to project now - again, there was nothing wrong with the way they were going before.
 
I prefer the new one because, as Michael Bywater puts it in his book 'Big Babies', even adults in this day and age are just big children so it, like, just reflects that! ;-)
 
The new logo, unlike the old one, is much less generic. The old one is very... corporate and does not really say much about the company and its product, which the new one at least attempts to. Besides that, it is filled with a mischievous evil, which I particularly like :evil:
 
The old logo is a lot better than the new one. The old one looks professional, but also very dull.

The new one isn't that bad, it just requires a few changes. Tweak the type face used, as the current one doesn't really fit the rest of the logo, and remove the triangle around the M shape. I really like the evil M shape, it's just the rest of it that I hate.
 
I think the new one's all right. The face in the 'M' needs to look more evil. Give it jagged teeth! :lol: Embrace change and new things, don't shun it! In two months no one will even notice or care about it anyhoo...

The old one's pretty dull and doesn't have much personality - which in turn makes MVM look bad.

In any case, it's better than Beez's logo. God I hate that one! (no so much the logo itself, just the logo video with the bee flying round... :x)
 
Voted for the new logo, only because I recon it'd look good embossed on a brushed aluminum dvd case used for LE box sets!?
 
I don't mind it. It's an improvement over the old one is terms of originality. The old logo is very boring but I suppose sophisticated, while this new one at least strikes me as easy going and fun.
 
i vote for the old one.
the new one just looks horrible.
if they wanted to improve the company logo they could have just gave the existing logo a different and more stylish font, and like WTFDaveMustaine mentioned, they could just take off the XXXX date, and just keep it as Entertainment and done..
