The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya 2nd Season!

Hi Japan's Newtype magazine has revealed that there will be a second season of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and is going to be announced tomorrow. Your thoughts.
 
Cool news! :) Haruhi Suzumiya was a good series although to be honest I would rather the Light Novels got licensed :(. I wonder if this series will be in a strange order as well :p
 
Ohh thats cool, i hope its in proper order, and i wonder which novels it will base this series on. At least i want the Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody(one side story in the light novels) animated. I take it its KyoAni, so the only series i hope to be announced now from them is FMP.
 
I have got a funny feeling that some episodes will be based volume 4 The Vanishment of Haruhi Suzumiya. Also I think they will air it during december because I think have a christmas chapter some where in volume 4. It is also shown on the credits when Kyon is dressed like a raindeer.
 
Theres still alot more to cover in the world of Haruhi that we seen in the first season. It would have been silly not to do another season, if i was being honest i wouldn't be surprised if they done a third season.

true, i would expect quite a lot more considering the light novels are spanning 9-10 volumes at the moment, so i would think there would a couple more seasons at least.
I agree with it maybe being parshly based on volume 4, but i would think it would be better if they didn't change the order for that, since it would make more sense then.
 
Personally i just hope they don't try and top what they done in season 1. Improvements yes, but they can try and go all out and either make a fantastic show that bit better or blow it and change everything i liked about Haruhi.

If it ain't broke don't fix it.

The only thing i would say is that, if they are to make it a comedy again, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya isn't really funny, so it may not be best.
 
OMG cant wait! But yer as ive seen above people have been critscising the way the episodes were released, and i have to agree... it was very strange >.<. But cant wait for the next season!
 
Should be interesting. I didn't rate the first series of Haruhi Suzumiya as high as some but I'll be keeping an eye out for season two.

Mainly for Kyon's face when he realizes that he's been perving over his sister.:twisted:

I thought that all there is to that show which I really like.. but knowing that there is season two... I'm just curious and won't be expecting a lot from it...

People that have been arguing over the episodes order and how they should be released really need to take a look at thier priorities.

The only thing i would say is that, if they are to make it a comedy again, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya isn't really funny, so it may not be best.

I think they could work around the little amount of comedy on offer by just keeping the story interesting and decent like the first sereis. If they decided to take a more serious tone with season two then i personally wouldn't have a problem with it. They could work it into character development.
