Busier than ever these days, so I don't get to spend as much time on this forum as I used to and my dreams of properly getting into simulwatches have therefore bitten the dust 😞. Still, continue hanging on with life's pressures as we all must do😅.

I recall you loving your switch, did you get the new one? I saw a friend's and was well impressed wth the hardware! Only a matter of time before I give in and grab one heh

I keep meaning to set up another simulwatch, but so much of my free time has been gobbled up by watching WWE ever since it switched to Netflix. And now there isn't time to do another full one before the promising summer anime season starts. With shows like Rascal and My Dress-Up Darling coming back, I'm probably going to be fixated on new series for a while. And more wrestling...

Ah good old WWF!, can't remember how many years it has been since I watched wrestling.

I feel the same with time, even if there were a Simulwatch going on I would really struggle to keep up at present. Really wanted to get a random one going for general discussions on shorter series and movies for example like some excellent recent releases like Look Back, and that brilliant new Mononoke movie, but no chance at present... Hey ho, maybe later this year or sometime next I'll manage to lighten my schedule

I love it indeed, but I haven't invested in the new console just yet, no. I definitely want to play the upcoming Donkey Kong Bananza, though, so I expect to pull the trigger on getting a Switch 2 at some point in the not-too-distant future.

I'm currently busy with (and immensely enjoying) a marathon of Mega Man games on Switch. It's a franchise I only ever admired from a distance back in the 1990s because of the kind of infamous difficulty level of the games, but last year I decided to bite the bullet and tackle them. (They're run-and-gun 2D platform games, for anyone unfamiliar.)

Ahh, shame, dude. 😕

Much like @Dai, perhaps, my free time is also currently being monopolised in a way that wouldn't leave room for simulwatching.

It's the actual posting part of it that's the time-consuming bit, really, especially on a smartphone. I also feel like I'm out of practice at channeling my thoughts and opinions into coherent sentences and paragraphs.

Hopefully you've been able to look after yourself okay despite your hectic schedule, man. ✌️
 
  • Horrible sweltering day, start sweating as soon as I get out of the shower
  • Multiple stressful things to sort out today
  • Neighbours playing loud music from sunrise to sunset, can barely hear myself think
  • It’s finally dark, quiet and cool
  • Time to relax and watch something, I’m feeling creative even, get my graphics tablet out
  • Power cut, my PC, fan that’s keeping me cool and all the house alarms within earshot go off at once
  • Power restoration TBD, expected to be more than 2 hours and the one last week lasted about 8
What a horrible night to have a curse.
 
  • Have to come home from work to my elderly mother living in my house every day, 24 hours a day, for six years and counting
  • As soon as I walk in the door, she starts in on me, telling me what I need to do and how to do every little step to complete it
  • Tell her I don't really care about anything she wants me to do and go into my bedroom and lock the door
  • Wash, rinse, repeat
What more horrible curse could there be. 😑


I guess maybe if she were my mother-in-law instead... o_O
 
Good thing about where I live-even though it got within spitting distance of 100 degrees today it's a dry climate so the heat is more bearable and it cools off 35 degrees at night.

@Neil.T @RadFemHedonist Hey, if I didn't see the funny side I probably wouldn't have bothered posting about it. I just sat outside on my back step to keep cool and played on my phone until the power came back around 3am (and all the alarms went off again, seriously what is the point of house and car alarms? Everyone just presumes it's a malfunction because ninety-nine times out of a hundred it is, so no-one would bother to call the cops even if someone was being robbed). It was quite chill actually.

Edit: And now the thunderstorm is here, watch it happen again.

Happy Birthday, Norm! Your birthday is only 9 days after mine, although I have just a few years on you. I would have just turned 52 when you first got on the forums in 2013. I actually had just started collecting Anime Blu-rays in March of 2013, and joined this forum in 2017.

Yesterday was my best friend's birthday, he's the same age as me - we got together last night with two other friends and partied the night away until 2 am to celebrate his birthday! I'm not feeling toooo bad this morning, just have a slight headache, lol. I'll have to spike my morning coffee with some Kaluha to help out with my recovery!

🤣 I found mine a few years ago. The personal statements I wrote when I was 16 were pure cringe. Thankfully the whole thing was a load of nonsense that no employer has ever asked me for.
 
It's like finding your high school diploma long after you thought it was gone forever and then remembering you never once had to show it for anything like finding a job.

Heh I'm the same with Megaman, admired from afar but never played one I don't think! And yeah like you, I think I'll be more tempted to buy the new one when there are more new games out that are unique to it. In the meantime I have a very long list of switch 1 games yet to play heh.

I concur on the Simulwatch, whilst I could potentially fit in a few episodes every few days to watch, I would run out of time to actually post about them. But such is life, and it's all good!
