The General Conversation Area

Ok, I'm off to lunch now but I'll be back on later.

Ciao. ^_^

edit: You hit your head? That was silly. :p
Hope it's ok. :)

edit again: And I'm back.... *notices Mono hadn't posted*

Maybe that head bump was more serious than she let on?! o_O

Nooooooooooooooooooo

*craddles Mono and starts crying*

"She was so young.....and so Hinata-like she didn't even need to cosplay"

Afternoon all.....any?

*does a dbl take*

I've been here all day and I never saw you posts this?! *scracches head*
Ah well, no point crying over missed posts. Nearlly time to be heading off anyway. Have to decide whether to make it an anime knight or a nephew night.

Hmmm.... *ponders*

Has anybody here ever been caught in an automatic ticket barrier? I was subjected to such a puzzling embarrassment on Monday last at Cannon Street.

The one at Leeds station today was too slow for me and I walked into it.

I have to stop having such high expectations of technology...

Morning all,

Had a quiet night in, laid in bed with the central heating on, watching anime.

its bloody cold!!!
need to buy some gloves and a new coat (the zips broken so regardless of if its zipped up or not, it comes undone :( so i'm wearing a waist coat for added warmth.

First up on my viewing was Trigun, As always its funny but has a serious undertone, enjoyed every minute :)

Secondly i watched Lupin the third, the secret of Mamo.
It was good, i enjoyed it....but the voices seemed different for some reason, I've previously watched the count of cagliostro and the voices sounded similar....but not quite the same :S
anyway...good film :)

Thirdly,
Burst Angel Infinity. Now i watched this and the story was only 30mins long...it was new to me so i thought i'd give it a chance, watching it i fell in love with it. Meg is a fun, bubbily character who i'm not entirely sure why she's there, maybe for the comedy relief. She doesn't really fight but has "brave moments"

As for Jo, A reserved character that lets her guns do the talking. a triggerhappy dual handgun weilding aerobatic woman.
Wearing a red poncho like top reminds me of a western, and places her as the main gunslinger.

The story was only episode long and at first glance there's just one ep to watch on the infinity disk. however this is not the case. looking in the extras, for some unknown ornate reason there resides upto 3 hours worth of episodes, it was puzzling.
This is a good show to watch if you like the whole bounty hunters style, but also mecha as during the series there is a giant mecha called joto(?) which aids the duo when things need a less than subtle approach. (also contains abit of fan service but not enough to spoil it)

I reccomend it to anyone who's reading this, i enjoyed it alot :D

*shakes head* well you should be more carefull :) it wasn't a very good idea to bump your head now was it :p

Glad your feeling better though. have you put some ice on it? and i hope you didn't go to sleep within an hour of bumping your head, that leads to brain damage.

I'm fine cheers hun :) just relaxed lastnight watching anime in bed with the central heating on :p woke up this morning and poked my head out of the duvet, realised it was cold and retreated back to the warmth

Good to hear Tachi :) and lol

I didn't put any ice on it as I had to get ready and leave for college

and yay I just got a phone call saying that my volume 4 of the Higurashi manga has arrived, so that has brightened up my day and I will be picking it up after college :D

Edit: I'm off to college now but I will back on in the afternoon and I will try to get on here during my break at college :)

Morning people.

Today is a pain =/ i've got just over 5 and a half hours left to get my essay finished and sent both online and hard copy for marking. I'm making progress again, but its a pain because i had to restart it yesterday when i found half the info i was mentioning wasn't exactly true. Gah how i hate citing and referencing. Heck why do essays for maths in the first place =/

Anywho good spot of watching there Tach, I need to get more of trigun when i can, i only watched the first volume but i thought it was good. I did get some One piece and Gintama watched last night during my sleep/work/relax plan..which..er ended up being just sleep and relax =/

Me? I'm over the moon i really am.

My weekly meeting has just finished with my team leader and the herts admins. you remember those? complaining about internet usage and trying to say i don't do my work properly?

Well....this weeks stats revealed that i'm actually covering more than they are.
I'm solely running the show for bedfordshire. there's two of them on herts, so their overall gets halved each week.

Now their weekly this week was 179 shifts. mine was 96. halving theirs reveals that their only covering 86.5 each which is 9.5 less than me. thus proving that i do infact do equal and infact more work than they do. that shut them right up.

And last week the manager was arguing with me that the herts team had to pick up for me whilst i was off ill and that they did more work monday to thursday than what i alone did on friday....turns out the manager was wrong, i'd covered most of the total number for that week on the friday, proving to the manager what i've stated plenty of times that they make alot of noise but in reality do very little.

Atm i'm in the best place possible with regards to work and having the moral high ground as i don't complain about them, rather they complain about me to cover up their own failures.

Tachi kicks arse once again

I shall celebrate by watching anime....just to rub it in :p

Edit: thanks Arby :) and sorry to hear about you being so worked and tired :/ atleast the weekend is upon us soon, hopefully you can catch up on the things you've missed, and i agree with you, essays are monotonous devil's work.....just remember to take a break every so often, constant concentration has been proven to fatigue the mind, the body and usually brings mistakes to the table too.
Enough about depressing things though.....How're you apart from all that?
Trigun is worth getting hold of. its one of those anime that you can just sit and relax to, takes almost no brain activity to watch and enjoy :)

Sounds like in your in control as usual Tach.

Morning Arba! Sucks to hear about the essay/maths life story your doing. Why do they need an essay on maths? That is a random thought. Anyway, get Trigun watched (same to you Tachi). It's a good anime and it's a classic imo.

I ended up watching 12 episodes of School Rumble last night! Series has now been completed. Awesome anime! Would have watched the first OVA too, but I thought 2.45am was late enough.
:p

Morning all. Back in the shop, my website is getting there after a few days of working on it. Once I've worked out how to integrate card processing and gotten myself a host it should be up and running. :D

Mamo is a total classic. I didn't notice the difference in voices as I watched both subbed, purist that I am. ;) Also I love Yasuo Yamada as Lupin.

Good Morning AUKN :p seems like most of the old gang is here today :)

To who ever was talking about Trigun@ i agree with the general concensus that's running here which is watch it :p you won't be disappointed unless you go in with Death Note Hype expectations

Morning Ayase. You'll have to post the link to your site once you have it running to a level your satisfied with.

I've never seen Lupin. *a cold breeze chills his bones*

@Tach: Yeah, i don't intend to spend the net 5 hours just writing non-stop, i intend to take a wee breather when possible. I have a couple classes to attend to as well in the afternoon, but i should have the essay more or less complete by then.

Asides from the above crap, i'm not bad thanks. Not really got much to report though, all forms of payments are dealt with now, i just need to get my loan in, so until then, i'm still kinda stuck at home, since i have no real money to spend otherwise, but hey, at least its peaceful here more often than not.

@Voddas: Well, the essays themselves are all based on the History of Mathematics...exciting i know..of which most of the topics are fairly vast, which is the problem. We're limited to 750 words for our essays which just isn't enough to be honest, but there we go. You'll be surprised how little maths there is in it =/

 i'll get trigun finished as soon as possible...i might just buy the boxset, but with the RM being dumped by amazon i'm not sure if i should try buying anything from there yet :/

Hey Ayase, you up for some LBP tonight?
and yeah mamo is a good film....but i can't help thinking "why was he that colour?" lol. its not as straight forward as the count of cagliostro....and why's it said Lupaaan instead of Lupin? :p
(not complaining, it had me walking round the house saying Lupaan al night lol)
