Which is the top gear tune?

There is a band called firebird. I've only heard about them, but it's a blues band formed by previous guitarrist in Carcass and Napalm Death. yes, you heard it right, ex-Carcass and napalm death playing the blues! =D
 
yet as a fan of both bands i want to try them out even though it sounds different to what they normally do! the allman brothers or something is who do the top gear theme tune. i hate the long boring song! dream theater is another band who give me a challenge!
 
Nah, the beatles are overated in my opinion.
i have fond memories of ringo stars voice in my home as a very young child :p but apart from that i don't think their as important as everyone believes.

Guitar hero 5 on the other hand....depending on if it has a good list of songs then i might buy it.
 
gh5 has a varied song list which thankfully has gone back to the guitar driven songs again! i agree about the beatles rock band, i don't want to play a game where i am playing a note every 5 minutes!

Also i wouldn't complain if they had a load of linkin park songs on a game.....last thursday in the Park (a rockers bar in luton) they played metallica then linkin park none stop for an hour and a half. excellent motivational music for me, especially whilst playing pool :twisted:

the alcohol maybe a factor too :p
 
linkin park get too much hate! i am a metal head but i don't mind them at all! we need more bands like them in guitar hero! funny enough i have got into the dream theater albumd because of rb and gh ! ******* awesome stuff!

Well, beatles are definitely not overrated. They started an awful lot of things and literally changed a generation. Imagine your life without Oasis or Blur and multiply by two or three. IMO, that's the impact they had over music culture worldwide.

I'll give the Beatles a pass as well.
I can't deny their importance and heritage, but I like only a handful of songs from them anyway, mostly the psychedelic stuff as I'm the walrus or Strawberry fields.
 
I prefer their Nu Metal days...their current style i am yet to understand what sort of definition its meant to be something like folk crossed with Nu metal....

trying to remember the band that me and ben play on Rb....one of its songs are brilliant....i'll give him a txt, see if he remembers
 
yeah i am always here for a few weeks then i am gone for 3 months! i don't know why, guess other things get in the way. i have missed this forum though it's always good for a laugh! i come and go don't i!
 
lol i think its safe to stick around abit more generally, flame wars should be few and far between due to action the admins have very rightly taken.

I tend to stay on here most days.....in an office full of people.....there's only one other person below 25 in here, the rest are 30+(..sadly we still have a 72 year old.....she remembers the dinosaurs you know ;)) so what do you expect me to do lol
 
how are you coping with it? sounds like we are the only thing keeping you sane! lol :D i am in my mid twenties and i am lucky to work with people mostly my age. then again being in retail means i can only use the internet on my breaks. just wish their internet connection was better! it feels like dial up! one thing i have noticed about the forums now is that we still happen to derail threads all the time! lol :D nothing changes! i have noticed less flame wars now which is great! have you seen otaku san and citzen geek aorund lately! by the way i swear that the fat controller was in thomas the tank engire! didn't know he was a drummer, he's has let himself go hasn't he!

well most of them are alright, two years ago in the office i had about 5 "mothers" now i've just got my actual one lol. me and kayleigh (the other person under 25) talk about the most random things. in fairness if i didn't come on here i'd probably go mad with the work i'm expected to carry out on a daily basis.

Just wondering what to get for lunch, as i'll be out for dinner tonight i need something that will keep me going. so thats Mcdonalds off the menu :p
 
at my work we have a mcdonalds and a greegs in our high street and that is pretty much it! i have been at greegs quite often lately! got sick of the 80% salt 20 % potato taste of the chips!! right got to go to work speak to u later tachi! :D might speak to u on my lunch at 4 !
 
I've wondered that myself.

You know what i've wanted for a very long time now? there was a childrens tv program on years ago with a kid who had a golden watch and when he pulled out the pin that ordinarily would adjust the time...in his case stopped time itself.

i'd love that, to just stop time and go for lunch at aroma across the road :/ sit there eating chinese food for a few hours then come back and to everyone else in a split second i'd have eaten hours worth of food :p
