0.o that's really really annoying Arby. I didn't had a bank account when I moved to N. Ireland and they could not pay me in check. They couldn't pay me on someone else's account as well.

I've stayed out without pay for two weeks until I managed to find a bank who would open an account for me - believe it or not, as I had no credit history and as I simply materialized in the country, msot banks didn't want to have me as a client =S

It's not funny not having any money and not getting paid...

I believe it. because thats similar to my problem when i wanted a contract fone.

I called up when i was 17 to sort out my existing pay as you go number and getting it put on a contract fone. they said no, and that i should call back when i'm 18.

so after a year or so i decided i want a contract fone because its costing me £20-£40 a week and i can't afford that ontop of everything else.
So i went into a vodafone branch and ordered a contract fone, they did a credit check and it came back saying its refusing me. so i worried that someone had done something underhand with my account because i shouldn't come back with any banking problems.

Went to Lloyds and explained it to them. they said i didn't have any credit history so thats why i was refused, the credit history would have shown that i can pay money back to a company. so i sat there for a second and then said "can't they just do a credit check to see how recent money goes in and out of my account and base it off that? i've got more than enough money to go and get the fone i'm getting free with the contract"

Apparently, they can't.
In the end my parents set up another contract so i can have my fone, but then my parents (and yes their this pathetic) used it as leverage over me. (AKA Blackmail) making me do all sorts of things for them and if i said no they warned to take the fone back so i was stuck. until it got past the first (trial) 2 weeks (that you can send the handset back i you decide you don't want the contract) and the leverage failed.

WRT Arby: why not set up an account? makes life alot easier.
 
It's simply ridiculous that Ihad to go with the broadband, phone, mobile and bank that accepted me because of this credit history non-sense, rather than going for the best one.

Back home things are pretty simple on that regards. Delay a week to pay a bill and the service will be cut out.

Only exceptions are water and electricity, where they have to wait a while longer before being able to cut service down, as cutting water and electricity makes it nearly impossible to live.


And yes Arby, if you can, open one of the free student bank accounts. They usually don't charge you anything and sometimes, they even give you a credit card (which is great to build credit history, as long as you don't delay payments.)
 
ah still feeling under the weather i see then voddas, well i'm sure you'll be better soon, although i appear to have attracted a runnny nose, i better not be catching a cold...
 
Cold's are a pain in the arse like.

Dunno what's up with me like. Been bed riden the last two days. Still feel like crap today but at least I'm out and about.

Friend of mine got the stuff, spent 10 days in bed, but now his is fully recovered.

I don't think it's swine flu. It's mostly stomch oriented. I have no sickness of the head if you catch my drift. I hope it is swine flu like. Means I get off lucky (2 days in bed).

Afternoon all,

I'm fine, i've woken up now and its only taken an hour and a half longer than usual :p getting a haircut tonight so i look good for tomorrow.

Have one problem though....i'm being kicked out the door to lunch at 12:30 rather than my usual 1.30 because others are asking to go at 1.30 and i'm (stupidly) being too nice for my own good and saying okay. then the rest jump in saying "well i'm going at 1. i'm going at 12" so i'm now being made to go at a certain time......something i'm not too happy about, tomorrow i'm putting my foot down and taking my 1.30 lunches back.

So voddas.........manflu isit? ;) always a good thing :p
thinking of going to get another big mac meal....but if i can't get a new coloured glass then i'm thinking of making a complaint. there's only Cyan or pink......i already have 3 Cyan and 1 pink one.....give me a bloody brown one or red one. i have a blue one from last time....i just want the set

i mean i swear they've put something in the popcorn chicken to make them so godamm addictive. They are almost like popplers...

lol i love KFC. Although there's a limit to how much i can eat of it...tend to get full up on the chicken :/

Well i did it :D i got a gold glass.
I saw a woman walk out with a gold glass so when the guy handed me a pink one i said "can i have a gold one" a woman who works there presented me with a gold glass......not in the box ¬_¬ so i said no, a proper gold glass, and the man came back with one in a box :D now i just need green and purple for the set :)

I prefer KFC to McDonalds to be honest (on a day by day basis) but when it comes to hangover food, McDonalds is king. Speaking of king... I prefer Burger King over all but they don't have one in my town.
They used to, but they had this deal where if you don't get your order in 15mins, you get it free. Bottom line, they went out of business. Simples!

@Tachi: Manflu? Perhaps, but that occurs more in the head region. This most definately has been more stomach pains (amongst other organs). Not nice.
 
@Voddas - I blelieve you will enjoy school rumble. I know I am....

@Black - KFC chicken is so good it's hard to believe its chicken at all...

@Tachi - I've got a red cup. I can only have MacD once every week. More than that and I don't feel right. But that doesn't mean I'm healthy at all, it's just that I'm not really into MacD (but oh boy, they are the cheapest option around here).
How many cups in the set?
 
Hey Chaos. I noticed you were watching the series. What do you think of it so far? I'm getting mixed reviews but I'm assuming fans who've read the manga will always see the anime as the weaker adaptation. What says you matey?
