The General Conversation Area

Chester zoo's ridiculously expensive £26 for adults £22 for children, they might as well have a sign up saying millionaires only.
B****y Hell it's that much now? It's scandalous! they have enough visitors there each year to help with conservation without making the prices for entry so extortionate!

Yea tha's pretty pricey. I think I went to Bristol zoo once and it was almost that much, me and my brother saw some really bored lions and tiny monkeys w***ing up a treat, bu' we didn' see any kangaroos. Good times

Blackpool zoo is worth a visit, quite expensive though. Would recommend the keeper experiences, they’re definitely pricey but worth it if you want to get hands on with some of the animals or even just to go into some of the enclosures. Alternatively you could volunteer as a zookeeper but then you have to clean them out...

I'm not a fan of Zoos tbh, and their prices are extortionate. I'll take a free entry museum any day of the week (haven't been to the National History Museum in around a decade so I'd love to go there at some point in the near future)

I used to go to Chester Zoo a couple of times a year to do some life sketching of the animals. On principle I wouldn't visit Chester Zoo again based on prices these days. I've been to Knowlsey Safari Park in the past, but I wasn't keen on it. I just think it's disgusting that these places can charge so much. I need to visit some more galleries to be honest; bone up on my art history!

Museums are great too. Especially if you specifically request to see things not in the general display, you get to go to some of the back rooms and potentially actually yknow handle stuff. Just a word from the wise here, if you ask to see a mummy expect them to have a very... unique odour.

Whilst I agree the prices are extortionate, if people weren’t willing to pay them then these kinds of places wouldn’t get so many visitors. From my experience, zoos etc still get plenty of visitors.

I haven't tried that, would love to see a mummy in person, all that preservation stuff fascinates me

Do you think there will be mionion relics in museums in years to come? A legacy of the great cult of Phobos?

Museum curator: "And to your left, we have The Chair of Shinji..."
