It's just, I dunno, I worry a lot that I'm over-ernest and tiresome and things. But just having been ground down over the years by sustained disappointment with, you know, people, kind of makes you a bit emotionally brittle, I guess. Stuff like this goes a long way towards repairing the damage, though.

It's easy to lose trust in people when you've been f**ked over too many times; I understand that dude. But try to understand that there are good people out there too. Don't let the pessimists bring you down, try, just a little bit each day, to appreciate the positives - it's how I started and eventually, you really do start feling more positive overall. I'm not saying that everyday is sunshine and rainbows, but it helps you to tackle even the s***iest days in a better mindset. Nothing wrong with being over-earnest, I'd maybe put a positive twist on that and just call it being passionate; it's a wonderful thing to be
It's true, it's not an overnight fix, it takes time, but if you make the smallest of changes each day to try and make the positive changes for YOU (and nobody else), then you will reap the rewards. You seem very honest to me, and not afraid to put your thoughs and feelings across, and that's a wonderful thing to do. Men are too often told to supress emotions and constantly put up a false bravado. I call b******t. People need to stop perpetuating s****y stereotypes and just let people be who or what they want to be! Don't lose hope

The things you were saying a little while back about just enjoying the things you enjoy really struck a chord with me. I've been able to focus better and actually concentrate on things because of it. That makes me really happy, to know you've been able to overcome some difficult mental barriers in that sense! It's not easy, I know that much. Really, just do what makes you happy, just go for it! You get one shot at life here, so there's no point in living in regret. As I said, we're all just trying to make it in a tough old world, so just do your work, get your money, but don't lose sight of things you love to do. I'd avise getting out for a walk now and again if you can, just get some fresh air, clear your mind. It helps you to feel loads better. Just keep up the positive mindset, and little by little each day, you'll see improvement!
