Yeah, it was fine. I'll need new glasses, but my sight hasn't changed that much, considering I hadn't been for an eye test since 2008!

I'd already picked out new frames. Normally that takes ages because I just never think I suit anything, but I actually rather like these new ones.

Ah that's good :) I can't really testify since I'm the only one in my family who DOESN'T wear them...but I hope they make frames stronger these days. My Sister has been wearing them since she was 4 and in only the space of a couple of years she must have went through about 16 pairs!

Oh the usual - friends wanting to try them on, people sitting on them, herself sitting on them, losing them, all sorts! I mean she was much younger; she doesn't go through nearly that many pairs now...

I don't how my pair has survived so long, Glasses Direct must make them out of sturdy stuff.
 
All this talk of glasses reminds me of a story I have... I once went into spec savers and bought a pair of frames, they were like “do you want us to fit lenses for you?” I was like “no”. They took it really funny. I laughed in their faces.
