There are quite a few movies I would gladly pay to see at the movies, as someone who enjoys watching films on the big screen it's usually a pleasure. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from Square Enix, this is where the whole aspect of me saying it's not a good movie. You don't have to be hyped about something and later be disappointed just to say a movie was bad.

I wasn't dying to see Advent Children, and when it finally came out I watched it and thought "Meh, action scenes are cool but the plot was pretty raw..." You see I'm not a Final Fantasy fanboy or a hater, I just like playing a good game or watching a good film regardless of who made it and what it's about. Square Enix isn't going to get any special treatment from me even if they made my favourite RPG; Advent Children was pretty mediocre and that's how it will always remain in my eyes. My only expectations for Advent Children was that it hopefully didn't suck as bad as Spirits Within. Luckily it didn't, but bottom line is that it still wasn't that great.
